ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Something is going on there, they are not buying top quality players any more.
US sanctions cut off Romans cash flow most likely.

I'm not sure he has even been let back in the country has he ?

I would not be surprised to see him sell to a Thai or Taiwanese group and bugger off with his cash to Italy.

Hopefully. Despise the gangsta cùnt. :censored:

If I could line up any two people in a sealed room and beat them for hours with phonebooks it would be the Russian gangsta and Marc Bosman. Both guilty of ruining foitball. :censored:

For a minute I thought you had written Mark Bosnich and I thought what has he done ? apart from that stupid laugh.

The Jim Ratcliffe Chelsea rumours seem to be rumbling on.

It is bordering on disgraceful now that ramsey hasn't signed a new contract or been put up for sale - 9 days before transfer window closes, and if he goes the club will want time to bring in a replacement, so sell him already ffs  It's time now to put aside emery's declaration that ramsey is one of the players he wants to build around - he has told the world how much he rates ramsey but he still hasn't signed so it's time to move on now

My policy has always been that IF a player doesn't want to go now, but doesn't want to sign a new deal either, then that player should spend the next 12 months playing and training with the kids teams - there is no way the club should help to boost the value of a player (thus increasing his wages from his next club) that has zero interest in staying with us - this is a fresh start for the team and club, and if ramsey or any player is not committed to that, then they can f.uck right off :censored: :censored:

While that made sense some time ago, I think that with the money being tossed around now, it makes no sense to do so other than potentially f*cking someone over on their skillset for the Bosman.

In Ramsey's case, it won't matter because of the homegrown rule.

That being said, I haven't ever been a Ramsey fan, so I'd sell in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd have already replaced him long ago. I just really can't see him eradicating the dribbling in his own 6 yard area out (evidence against Atletico - or Athletico, if you like). I have my doubts as to whether he is disciplined enough to stay in his position and not as a striker.

Swap him for Dembele, we have enough central midfielders , we need an exciting winger. He seems gettable as they have just signed the Brazilian even if it’s on loan initially

Not one for throwing the baby out with the bath water but if he can’t commit then he should be fucked off.

The scum are in a pretty pickle at the mo -

Alderweld has one year left on his contract, so this time next year he could walk away on a free. They do have an option now to extend his contract by an extra year, but if they do that it activates a clause that says that he can leave for £25m. Do they sell him now or let him walk next season for free ? How much can they realistically get for him given his current contract and age situation ?

The relevence of this is when you look at what is truly north london's biggest club, and their serious issues in defence - aftv today say that mustafi is being linked with a move to one of the turkish clubs (havent seen that rumour elsewhere mind you), so for me the possibility of upgrading that position should be a no-brainer. Even if alderweld cost £40m, I would sell ramsey and that would cover that transfer fee
