I disagree with the constant berating of Iwobi and Xhaka. Both have been given contract extensions because their value will increase because of their age and their performances at international level. Both performed reasonably at the world cup. Ramsey on the other hand is at his peak and this will be his last opportunity to get the big contract he desires. Arsenal won't offer it someone else (chelski, Liverpool) will. I'm hoping Bale can persuade Real Madrid to get him to replace modric. Stop laughing, I know.

Realistically, chambers was always going to lose out to Holding. Both are about the same IMO, with Holding being a it more disciplined in his defending. Chambers was being utilised as a RB before CB so made sense he was the one to go.

Its a bit quiet with Arsenal going to deadline day. Still enough time for the squad to be fine tuned. I would like to see Nzonzi in for ramsey. Don#t understand the call for a winger Nelson seems as capable as anyone else on the market.

I look at in the opposite way to you - I reckon that dick rates chambers as better than holding for the long term, which is why he wants him to go out on loan to aid his development. Of course I am making that assumption in the belief that we will be buying another centre back and/or holding will start the season no higher than 4th choice centre back. If we are to follow your logic that dick played chambers at rb ahead of centre back cos he views him more as a rb, then where does that leave maitland-niles seeing as he got no game in his proper centre midfield position ? :?

I like nelson I do, but you are kidding yourself if you think that he is at the same level as a dembele etc - we cant afford to buy dembele, and I get why some might knock the idea of bringing in a loan player ahead of some of our own young players when they wont be here next season, but nelson snt ready yet and would surely benefit playing and training with a proper quality winger

we've bid for Demebele, according to Metro.
The Gunners have already spent the majority of their transfer budget for this summer but have proposed an initial £8.9m loan fee with a mandatory clause to make the deal permanent next summer for £80.3m.

Not that we as a club are in a position to laugh at this, but the chavs have given too much power to the players going back to when peanut head was their manager - it was well accepted that they ran the dressing room and the team when he was in charge, but at least he can say that he won the champs league as a manager

Get the feeling that the Chavs are starting to return to their old footballing ways (ie being shit) the oligarch has lost some interest, players are nothing like they were. Far too many out on loan, no clear vision with what to do with them, and now no new stadium.

the oligarch and his money are currently banned from the country - his business partners are on the US Russian Sanctions list.

btw if we want a winger, look at Ollie Watkins at Brentford - 11 goals off the wing in 20 or so appearances last season. this year he will play in the middle.

Less than 2 days to go in this transfer windowand still no end in sight for the ramsey saga - is he signing a new deal ? If not then for the love of god just sell the c.unt already   Allowing this guy (and wellshit and any other player btw) to remain in the club with less than a yearremaining on their contracts, si an absolute disgrace imo and should reqult in sackings for all concerned :censored: :censored: :cussing: :cussing:

I thought that the club would have learnt their lessons from last seasons fiasco with sanchez and ozil, but yet here we are again with another 2 players being allowed to run their contracts down  :banghead: :banghead:

Still far too soon to be celebrating their downfall. They're about to spend £80m on Kepa to replace Courtois and they're getting Kovacic on loan. Can't see Hazard or Willian leaving so late in the window either so they're still more than good enough to make the top four.

As I said the other day, wellshit, ospina, joel campbell, perez and jenkinson were all certain departures, and ramsey should also have been sold by now, and yet every single one of the fcukers are still here - hard to focus on transfers when your ceo is packing his bags for milan and your owner is focused on buying shares  :banghead: :censored: :censored: :censored:

You'd think our new transfer team of Emery, Raul, Sven and that famy bloke would be keen to make a statement of intent to justify their arrivals but up to now it's been woeful.

Contracts and outgoings have been poorly handled and, although I remain hopeful, incoming transfers (other than torriera) don't look all that great either.

I'm all for giving them time but, with the current squad, I'm struggling to pick a balanced team that looks like competing for anything other than 4th-6th position.... before losing Ramsey on a fucking free or caving to his wage demands.

Underwhelming.

The new transfer team. Pfft. Not convinced by any of this "new" shit tbh.

My money is on the delay being the fact the new guys cannot decide Jack shit without running it by the wig molester. :censored:

This is also the real reason the Lizard wants out. He thought once Wiggy racoon head sacked Wenger that he'd be the big shit in the bowl and he has realised he is just a wet Fart in wiggy's underpants.

I dont really give a flying f.uck what he does tbh

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... -contract/

Actually scratch that - I hope that he doesnt sign a new deal, runs down his contract this season and joins another club for free next summer which will rightly bring fury on whoever allowed him to stay without signing a new deal, plus it will have the added bonus of screwing the yankwanker out of a sizeable transfer fee 8)
