I, along with a few others and we were often scorned for it, said all along i didn't believe the departure of Wenger would necessarily mean a turn round in the way things are run at the club and i think the lack of out goings and balancing of incomings has highlighted this.
We all knew Wenger was the main issue on the pitch and we had an inkling he had his hands in too many pies but it seems even with his departure and the arrival of a supposedly balanced team dealing with transfers and contracts there hasn't been a great deal of improvement.
I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but the new 'team' have been in place since before the end of last season and although the Head Coach only arrived a few months ago i would have thought the contracts running out and uneeded bit part players could have been resolved by now. We seem to be heading into the new season with a massively bloated squad many of whom will play little or no part in the squad this season but will still be drawing significant wages.
Maybe the things going on behind the scenes have been a distraction we could not see but unless there is significant movement tomorrow i am not pleased with this years transfer dealings once again, yes we picked up a few decent players but i still feel that there is so much more that could have been resolved.
Our signings have not been spectacular but that has been driven cos of a limited budget so I excuse the transfer team of any blame on the quality of signings. To say that there hasnt been a great deal of improvement on this front post-wenger is wrong though - firstly if the senile old c.unt was still in charge he would have dithered and fcuked about and signed fcuk all new players, but secondly he would only be looking to sign players in the 48 hours before the transfer window closes, but this summer they have been done early to give dick a chance to work with them from the start of pre-season (with exception of world cup players of course).
Where they should be 100% slated is re the ramsey situation AND the delay in offloading players that the club clearly dont want and who are coveted by other clubs - in an ideal world we sell those players a while ago to allow the manager to bring in extra players that he needs/wants, but even apart from that it should have been done to get unwanted players off the wage bill

It is practically nailed on now that ramsey is going nowhere, and that is a risky/stupid move if they dont already have his signiture on a new deal - they might believe that a deal is 100% agreed, but until it is signed it shouldnt be taken for granted. It might be that the club has agreed a new contract and that they are waiting until today to announce it as the most important "signing" of this transfer window for the club - it is exactly the type of cheesy crap that arsenal plc live for these days
Today and for the next few weeks we are gonna hear all sorts of moaning and whinging through the media about how unfair it is that foreign clubs can still sign premer and football league players for the next few weeks - the argument will be that clubs will be unable to replace any departures in the next few weeks, but here's a novel idea that they should consider .......... try refusing to sell any players after the english transfer window closes

I do feel that next season there should be an amendmant that prevents player being sold (or loaned) as well as being bought after the season starts, but this summer the clubs should have notified their players privately in may that they will not be sold after august 9th regardless of what club comes in for them - players hoping to leave their clubs would then have the summer for their agents to whore their services to other clubs, but the agent and players would know in advance that they would have a reduced timeframe to engineer a move
