ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Confirmed: #Arsenal has offered #FCBarcelona € 100 million for Dembelé. The key is whether the French striker wants to go or not. Time is running out ... https://t.co/A6mVJVXOP6

Been on Sky Sports news since 3.00pm (it's now 15.23) and not even a mention of Arsenal so I've turned it off and can only assume that we're not even getting rid of some of the rubbish.

Don't forget players can leave until 31st , I expect Ospina and Campbell to be gone by then surprised Wellbeck didn't get any offers as we made it clear he was for sale but expect the usual problem of too high wages for average players was an issue and I can't see him going abroad.

I agree with Augie I was disappointed Calum Chambers went as I thought he did ok last season and was hoping he would develop under Dick but I can't believe Mustafi is still here and hope Holding breaks through this year as I rate him.

I'm am fairly happy overall with our business as I want some our kids to get chance especially Nelson, AMN and Nketiah.

Question can Ramsey sign a new deal still or do we have to wait until January?

Ramsey can sign a new deal with us whenever he wants to. Media suggests a deal is close but who knows for sure.

He certainly holds all the aces now and could sign for an overseas club in January if he wanted to. The fact that he wasn't shoved up for sale last minute suggests we must be reasonably sure of a deal.

Thanks I thought he could was just checking , rumours are we are very close to a deal now, I forgot about Jenkinson how is he still at the club? we may as well let him go on a free as I see no market value for him so he can move to a club nearer his level.

I think you'll see a few shifted on next season as a lot will be playing for their futures and Dick will weed out the ones he doesn't like.

Shit window is where i see it, still have tons of shite left at the club and weve broight in an aging defender who will never cope with the pace of the pl, a centre half who looks bang average at best, a defensive midfielder who I don't really know, another average keeper and a sideshow Bob lookalike who in fairness looks decent but is one for the future, not the here and now.

So all in all pretty much what we're used to :barscarf:

If you had said when Dicky Emery took over that when the transfer window had shut Mustafi Xkaka Iwobi and Welbeck would still be at the club i would have called the nurses to take me straight to Broadmoor. Not only that Xhaka and Iwobi were given new fucking long term contracts. All four have been shite in an Arsenal shirt not even their own families could defend them .We wanted to sell Mustafi last summer and he was even worse last season than the season before. Xhaka the worst DM in the Prem cant tackle cant pass the positional sense of a goldfish . Iwobi a headless chicken who runs out of gas after half an hour and whose crosses and shots end up in Row Z. As for Sicknote Welbeck even the local Oxam shop refused to take him off us and we pay him £110k a week .I was all for Wenger being sacked but i was hoping the deadwood he lumbered us with would have followed him out the door

Heard Dick has been impressed with Joel Campbell in training and wants to keep him.

So impressed in fact that he didn't include him in the squads for Singapore, Chelsea and Lazio :barscarf:

Saving him for the city game I'd imagine
