Re: Ramsey-Alexis Sanchez swap...
Sanchez isn’t the answer.
Carried us for three years but irreparably past his best and his attitude stinks. Beyond which he isn’t likely to be well-liked and would be massively disruptive.

Re: Ramsey-Alexis Sanchez swap...
Fuck no. Just sell Ramsey and replace him with a quality young winger. Done.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
As for the Sanchez/ Ramsey question: hell no.
Sanchez was a superb (but flawed) attacking player for about 2 years straight and then just a whiney disruptive little prick in his last season before he fucked off. Well past his best and is not liked by most of the players he played with at our place.
He is not the answer to any question.

To contrast that viewpoint, wouldnt you agree that he was a whiny prick because he was pissed off the way the club was being run ? Would you also agree that he wasnt liked by the other players because he demanded more from them, and they were happy the way things were in their cushty life ? Ramsey was one such player, and now that he is no longer being accomodated he is fcuking off. Ozil was a player that did get on with sanchez cos he too was pissed off at the direction of the club

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
The problem with Sanchez is at the moment he looks like a player thats in decline and the energy and workrate he had doesnt seem to be there.
Is that because he's in the wrong set up and fallen out with the manager? Possibly. But thats the risk with someone like him.... Whats to say he comes back here and falls out with players or Dick over methods or transfer policy etc. Add to that his wage demands would be astronomical.
Its too much of a risk that it won't work so we're better off looking elsewhere but for sure in the January window if we bring in one player it needs to be a winger.

Pity we didn't get 80 million for him, it would have been the ultimate sting.

Tbf I dont think anyone is seriously advocating signing him again - personally I was defending him on the basis that he was part of the absolute clusterfuck that ran through the spine of our club in recent seasons, and his attitude reflected his frustration at what was going on around him. Sadly for him (not for us of course), he has stepped from one clusterfuck right into another clusterfuck that is again being overseen by an arrogant dictator. He will in my opinion be a good signing for a club that puts him in the right situation, and if his head/mentality is where it should be, he would still fit perfectly into our system - we are all praising dick for his coaching getting better results out of some players that looked to be liabilities in recent seasons, so maybe he could turn sanchez's fortunes around too ? Sadly I think that his mentality is too far down a negative road for him to be successful with us

If Zidane comes to united they'll see a different Sanchez, that's why I hope they put together a few wins to paper over the cracks and keep Jose!augie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:21 amrodders999 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:09 amAlso hasn't scored in over 1000 minutes nowLeftfootlegendGooner wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:19 amSanchez gave the ball away 26 times yesterday, didn't manage one shot on target and is on HALF A MILLION QUID A GAME![]()

Ramsay's agent confirmed on twitter that he is leaving. the club gave him 'no choice' were their words.
250,000 a week was outrageous - no one in the league is worth that except maybe DeBryune at City.

Yep yep and yep and said so at the time. The problem is though that he burned his bridges with those players and his return would disrupt team cohesion and unity. But that's not the main issue though for me. The main issue is he is past his best. Was a great player for us for a while though.augie wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 7:56 amDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 5:56 amAs for the Sanchez/ Ramsey question: hell no.
