On a big night of champions league football, the best game of the night was between two former winners of the competition. 5-5 draw at villa park, between 1982 European cup winners Aston Villa, and twice European Cup winners (1979 & 1980) Nottingham Forest. Think that's the first time two former winners played each other in a domestic league match, on the same night as a Champions League night.
I'm just looking forward to the day Liverpool play Manchester United in a domestic league fixture on the night we play in the Champions League.
