32mil for ady

When you consider the relatively little difference there would be in their price tags, I know which one would be the more astute buy. 8) As for bringing back TH; that would be a retrograde step and could do more harm than good.

Exactly and only a fool would fail to see the difference in class.

Who is that aimed at? :?

I'm not aiming it at anybody dvbris. I believe that 99% of fans on here acknowledge that villa is a class above ade. However some do seem unsure if they would sell ade even for villa and I find that baffling to be honest. Those that say that they wouldnt sell ade cos they dont believe the club would in turn buy villa I can understand, but those that dont want ade sold at all (even for £32m) I am amazed at.

I think you've got confused Augie - I think IHH is referring to a comparison between Huntelaar and Villa.

There is one serious point in this. Villa has proven he is top level in Spain, and can play wide as well as up front.
Ade has proven he can get 30 a season in England.

IF Ade left then I would go for Villa.

Preferably I would go for Villa and keep Ade too.

Yet it is not certain that Villa will be a success in England. The pace of our game means not everyone from other countries settles, and the "North European" lifestyle/climate means some players from warmer climes do not settle.

Unless it's for financial reasons I don't think Ade and Villa can be mentioned in the same sentence as they are as unlike as it's possible to be and therefore cannot be "swapped"!
It would be infinitely better, particularly with Dudu's future uncertain, to have both of them, either working together which could be a fantastic partnership or using Ade against certain more physical teams with the only forseeable problem being him unhappy due to reduced playin time!

I'd bate berlusconi's clean hand (dirty feet) off
if he offered £30M+ for Ade
in fact anything over £20M I 'd be happy with

yes he's whole hearted
but come on - we cre8 billions of chances
Torres would have got over 40 if he played for us last season

I think you'll find that Chelsea are making bids for just about anyone that is available.

Can I just say for starters that I along with everybody else do not know how much of what we read is shite or true. However what we do know is that milan want ade and villa has expressed interest in joining Arsenal so the question I would ask is why havent we made moves :? :banghead:
I will be really pissed off if villa not alone goes to another club much less one of our rivals but for a price that will allow us to sell ade and either break even or indeed make money out of the deals

I feel we are in a deja vu thing where it is a flash back to last summer again as we stand idly by watching our domestic and european rivals strengthen their squads and wenger telling us that he is happy with the players he has got and the board telling us that there is a bountiful transfer budget available :duh: :groaner: :redcard2:

I suppose Wenger sees it as easier to stick with someone who is already 'bedded in' to the team - and to alleviate the panic of more 'stars' leaving - which is why he wouldnt go for this option unless Ade clearly wanted out.

At the Cesc TV show, the crowd and cesc expressed their desire to see Villa at arsenal within Wenger's earshot.

And i agree - i reread a piece on the summer transfer window from last years's gooner and it could have been written yesterday.

To follow that line of thought then we will probably be sticking with eboue this season cos he is already bedded in :?: :banghead: :banghead:
Thats not me having a go at you bt cos I know you were only suggesting that it could be wengers mindset but christ if that was the case then I would be bordering on the suicidal :x

I know ts is gone all laid back and chilled about the transfer rumours and fair play to him cos he is probably saving himself loads of torment 8) However I cant work that way and it just totally gets on my tits now so much when we see players that we know would greatly improve our team just signing up for our rivals without an ounce of effort from our club to sign them

Is wenger the new brian clough (a manager that prefers dealing with kids and cheaper players cos cant handle the top players) or are our board insistant that all signings must be young enough to have a good resale value :?:

Been away for a few days so this is my chance to say.......

£32mil For Ade! Yes Fucking Please.

Ade has had a good season, that is it. A very good season but still only one season in which he could have scored a lot more goals. I dont beleive for one second that either we would get 32mil for him or that wenger would let him go but if i had my way he would be outta the door quicker than a [insert witty comment here]!!!!!

Benzama,Eto"o Villa and Berbatov are all top strikers who will move on this summer will Arsenal sign any of them?If not why not. I can see Man Utd signing either Benzama or Berbatov and Chelsea signing either Eto"o or Villa. So already they would have a head start on us even though they both finished above us last season.Remember we are playing catch up on both of them and we have already lost two players Flamini and Helb.

When you read quotes attributed to players like rvp saying how pissed off they are at so many departures then you know that the club should be pulling out all the stops to sign a big name david villa type to reassure the players as much as the fans. I have said it many times on here in the past year that players are not fools (not all of them anyway  ) and they know that with every quality player departing it reduces their own chances of winning medals with our club and from that point a growing resentment and frustration beds in :x
