Glad to see he is starting Auba, Laca & Pepe up front , dunno about xhaka - he turns slower than milk and no pace, I would have gone with Willock who deserves to be in the team, as he has pace, always looks to go goes forward and tracks back, which we will need on our left flank.
ps: We need Ceballos Creativity too.

An absolutely baffling selection in midfield - no Ceballos (if he hasn't been brought in from Madrid to play big games then why bother?), and even though we have Torreira, we still have to persevere with the Swiss plank. Three worker bees in the middle with not a single creative player to link up with the front three
Of course if it works we'll say it was a touch of genius but to me it looks like a midfield set to contain rather than create
The swiss turd has been absolute dogshite for sure, but Ceballos did not get to the pace of the game last week at all - if anyone can feel hard by with that starting team it is Willock, and tbh I wouldn't have started him either
Good starting line up although the bench doesn't look too exciting. I was wondering if he'd have the young Brazilian there to bring on late in the game if needed as he has an eye for goal.

That is the worry, may see Ceballos coming on if we are struggling
I will be attributing neither blame nor credit on todays result!
NLDs arent won on the training ground nor by tactics on the day! They are won by the team that is most up for it and doesn’t become overwhelmed by the occasion!
We’ve seen great results in this game even when Wenger was at his worst!
So anyone who thinks a good result today would win back their trust in Emery? they are deluded!
Away to Watford after the break will be a far better yardstick! A game we struggled to win despite Watford playing 70 + minutes with 10 men!
So I hope we win today, just as I always put my discontent with Wenger to one side for this game!
I’ve actually had a bet on 5–1 at 90/1

When was the last one ? Emery has played 2 proper NLD (league games) and has had the players properly fired up for both, so by your yardstick dick has improved us
We beat them 2-0 comfortably in Wengers last home NLD!
I like the way you’re conveniently “not counting” the 0-2 home defeat in the carabo cup! An NLD is an NLD!!

Agree on the Willock point - he can count himself very unlucky. I was as baffled by selecting Ceballos away at Anfield as I am from omitting him for this home game. Equally baffled why we would have sold our first choice left back before this game too - Kolasinac is a walking disaster and if I was Podgie I'd stick Son on his side of the field from the start.
Can't see the point of such a great front three without a single creative midfield player to get the ball to them
