So we can kiss contract negotiations with Laca and Auba goodbye then just in case we were in any doubt.
Right now contract negotiations are the least of our worries ,we are facing the apocalypse ,the horror !
100 years after we bribed our way into the top division we face leaving it.
Not going to happen. In the same way that DB10 kept saying the victims won't win the title (until about a month ago) I'm saying we won't get relegated. There said it.....what could possibly go wrong :rubchin:
Check your facts buddy.
That would have involved a degree of effort more than I was prepared to put in I'm afraid

I thought I recalled a change to your customary blanket dismissal of all evidence pointing to a victim title

Sorry to change the subject but has anyone seen the Lavazza coffee advert which I have just seen - we feature....Auba Ceballos and Kolasinac on the same advert as three victims  What's that all about?

Bit before my time so I stand to be corrected but wasnt Jimmy Rimmer also a key reason we stayed up too?
Ah 1975...my introduction to the Arsenal as a birthday present - we lost to Derby and I didn't keep the programme. Sat in the east upper and will never forget the glimpses of the pitch as we walked along the inside of the east stand before that moment when you walked up the steps and saw Highbury in all it's glory - brilliant. So technically Jimmy Rimmer ruined my birthday, the selfish git
:D

Belated birthday wishes anyway Jock :barscarf: :D

Why thank you Clash. The birthday cake in those days had single digit candles whereas now I'm a fire hazard
That Was Some Partaaay! Mate!

Ah the memories of the 74 75 and 75 76 seasons when alan ball and brian kid saved us from doom. I'd pay good gold for a leader like Ball !

Yes he was a very good and very underrated keeper ,our squad was getting old and we weren't spending the money or had yoof replacements at the ready , although they were just starting to appear Brady I think being the first .
We had some truly awful player's too like Terry Mancini . Ball was immense those two seasons and in the 74/75 season Kidd scored 23 league goals, the following year we were worse and it looked like we were going down but he clawed our way out of it by a miracle !
Fuck me we were bad then ,and had crowds near 15,000 some weeks !

Fascinating stuff as always Herd. And such a such a sudden fall from grace. Not just because it was so soon after doing the double in 1971 but more so from still having a really good side in 1973 when we could have done the double again.

Interesting period. Derby winning two titles while Spurs, Man united and Chelsea all got relegated. Soon followed by Leeds -not so long after being in the 1975 European cup final.

Half an eye on it, that's how The Arsenal make me feel right now. Only 10 mins in so anything could happen.

Thing I can't tolerate or understand is how slow and ponderous we are.... that shit is now old school. Back to the past not future.

Light years away from the power and speed saw Leicester, Liverpool and even Manchester United play with over weekend. Wiggy time warp and its so fucking boring and innefective and tedious.
