Standard Liege (A) EL 12/12 @ 17:55

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't think it is a coincidence that we have improved 1,000% since Martinelli came on.
When it comes to the kids he is by far the pick of the bunch. Took a look at his stats and he's got 8 goals and 4 assists this season already. Granted almost all of them were in the Europa League and League Cup but that's still very impressive for a kid that's only turned 18 in June coming straight into the team from Brazil. I think we've got ourselves a world class talent on our hands with Gabby and I'd tie him up to a longer term contract in the summer.

Of all our youngsters I really dislike Willock, I'm not sure what is role is and he just slows everything down or ignores his team mates
He doesn't seem to have any natural footballing intelligence either. I know he's young but I just see nothing in his game to even hint there's a player hidden away in there.

But our worst young player for me is AM-N. Just awful in every aspect. I don't care if he is playing out of position - that does not stop a player being able to do the basics of passing and moving and knowing when not to pass. He pisses away so much posession under no pressure that it's ridiculous.

good day out in Liege, could have done without the detour on the bus after the match (took 45 min what should have been a 10 min trip to the train station or City centre.

Cheers, yes it is. :barscarf:
Liege and Frankfurt. Like two home games for me, within 100/120 miles in Europe, cannot complain really.
