Wonder what type of team Bournemouth will play. Modern day approach to the competition says that they will play a weakened side as they are right in the mix of a relegation battle.

That said, it was a big win for them against Brighton after an awful run and it would be massive momentum to follow that up with a big win against us. Particularly in front of a lively crowd in a night game and potentially a chance for Callum Wilson to get another goal after a dreadful few months.

We should play a good side. We’ve got fuck all to play for in the league and I’m happy enough that we aren’t going to get dragged into a relegation battle.

I'm not suggesting this cos of recent issues with Ceballos, and I certainly wouldn't want it to look like we were bowing to him, but I would start Ceballos ahead of ozil IF arteta intends making him stay for rest of the season. This is another tight pitch and will be a 100 miles an hour game, neither of which suits our german/Turkish "superstar" - Ceballos needs game trime and would bring more energy and work-rate to the 10 position than ozil will.

No luiz for this one and you would hope/assume that mustafi wont start either, so hopefully it will be a holding and sokratis centre back pairing. It is 6 days until their next game so you would imagine that bellend will be able to play without risk of pushing him too fast. I'm guessing that there wont be any more significant changes except I reckon he will "rest" leno

Burnley are shite, but Ceballos at home against them put in as good a performance as I’ve seen in CM since Fabregas. Surely there must be something there??

It's a bit strange Arteta reportedly wants him to stay but wont play him, I reckon this might be a decent game to play him in.

Not sure what result we can expect here, cant see Bournemouth playing a full strength squad they need to concentrate on the league so maybe it is time our lot put together a winning performance 2-0 us :barscarf:

Ordinarily I would agree with that sentiment, but they have just won their first game in ages and the last thing they need is to follow it up with another defeat even in the cup. As we all know, momentum is even more important in the fight to avoid relegation than it is at the top end of the table, and right now they need some positive momentum big time. I would expect minimal changes in their line up, but of course I could be wrong

perhaps that was an especially good game for him as he was out to show what he can do, but then under the mis-guidance of Unai Emery and how he could see thinigs were headed he thought, 'why bother'. But in the same way that Arteta seems to have been able to get most players to raise their game, he (Arteta) also believes he can do the same for Ceballos, which if true might be worth a shot; especially if the kind of form he showed against Burnlaaay could be his regular game.

What I did notice about ceballos is that he tended to hold onto the ball too long and do so many spins and turns trying to get past an opposing player any chance of what was forward momentum in an attack was lost.

Also he doesn't appear to be that strong physically, but does give as good as he gets, which (again) he demonstrated against Burnlaaay.

He obviously has 'skills' and creative ability, not as good as Santi; whom we could do with right now.

Christ, when you look at how Ceballos started his Arsenal loan spell against the effort expended by Ozil or the way that Pepe settled in then he was a fuc.king world beater in comparison. I would certainly give the guy the Ozil role and with a bit of a push in the right direction (and injury permitting) we could still end up with a very useful midfielder and we ain't got too many of them.
