Arsenal eye up Daniel Parejo

from The People

Real Madrid prodigy Daniel Parejo is a target for Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-time admirer of the Spain Under-19 midfielder and could offer up to £10million.

Parejo, 19, scored 10 goals in 33 games last season while on loan to Madrid's associate club, Castilla, in the second division.

Arsenal make late move for Spear
tribalfootball.com - June 15, 2008

Arsenal are making a late play to land Plymouth Argyle prospect Aaron Spear.

The News of the World says Toon director of football Dennis Wise has agreed terms with the Championship club for the 15-year-old.

But the Gunners, who swooped this week for another Aaron - Cardiff midfielder Ramsey - in a £5m deal, have turned their sights to the Championship again after being alerted to Spear's potential.

From ANR (Ian Grant)

The potential replacements are growing by the week. Santa Cruz has always been in the frame, but Gomez, Gomis and now Podolski have joined the list.

More uncertainty over Gervinho - the 21 year old Ivory Coast striker who plays for Le Mans. Star reckon Gervinho is not interested in a move to Arsenal. But the Times: "Arsenal have spoken to my agents and we are looking at it," Gervinho said. "Arsenal have made it clear that they want me."

Better news if you read the Sunday Mirror which claim Arsenal will complete the £10m Nasri deal at the end of of Euro 2008. Whether that is the French end or tournament end - doesn't say.

The People reckon Manchester United and Arsenal are again battling it out for the best young talent by going head-to-head for £3million-rated Demetris Christofi - a 19 year old striker who plays in Cyprus. [Unlikely]

IHH has linked us to Mark McLean.

And Gunner Talk Weblog link us to -

Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in landing Turkey international midfielder Arda Turan from Galatasaray.

It is believed that Arsene Wenger is attempting to prize the Turk from under the nose of Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan.

The 21-year-old comes with a hefty £10 million price tag, but as of yet has not spoken to any Premiership sides regarding his future.

An impressive start to Euro 2008 and helping Turkey move through into the next round of the tournament has seen Turan’s price rise considerably, and may even put him out of Newcastle’s price range.

Yes it is haha.

On September 1st I will add up how many players we are linked with and will publish the results, just to see how much speculation goes on in the press.

We are linked with Arshavin again by Daily Telegraph. They suggest he's going to be a replacement for Adebayor, ignoring the fact that Arshavin and Ade are completely different style players. Arshavin is more likely to replace Hleb, if the latter leaves. Anyway, there are no quotes in the story so unlikely to be true.

Linked with Martins, again. This is becoming a tradition now. We are being linked with him every two months

Roma and Juventus want Clichy. The guy seems to be clever and we are better than the Italian duo at the moment.

Another unknown youngster linked with us, Diogo Luis Santo. Reportedly our offer for him was too small. On Wikipedia it says, he's got 22 goals in 29 games, impressive. But not as impressive as "The Beast" and we all know how he turned out

Fecking hell, that Arshavin is a cracking player and even better than I thought. The guy has got everything and can play equally well anywhere in the front four positions. Why the feck doesn't Wenger take Barca's £12m for Hleb and snap this guy up for the £10m it will cost? :? :banghead: :barscarf:
