Listening to his defence of xhaka yesterday, I think that you are probably right - as I said about edu's defence of pep's cone boy yesterday, there are public defences and public defences, but arteta's defence of xhaka was too strong imo and does suggest that a parting of the ways isnt on the horizon

Again, it is a serious contrast in the way arteta dealt with guendouzi incident

Actually hoping he does reinstate Xhaka and spends the transfer window chasing wingers and centre halves. He certainly has inherited Wenger's trait of "I always know best" and shows zero humility to admit when he's fucked up. Why have one teenage centre half playing for the Academy, when you can have a second to keep him happy

The notion of Arteta dropping either David Luiz, Mari or Holding to make way for an 18 year old is as laughable as a 37 year old with no managerial experience being made Arsenal manager to start with

Remember that 22 match unbeaten run (you know, the one that didn't happen really but was just made up by us). He was a rock in that team. Certainly far better than fucking Side Show

I can understand (to a small degree) why sokratis has been dislodged from the team because he always looked like he was gonna cost us big time - the difference between him and the other centre backs that we have (except gabriel), is that he actually rarely let us down in comparison to the other centre backs, and whatever about losing his place in the team, it is a disgrace that he wasnt named in the squad
