Sky sources: Shkodran Mustafi has just signed his contract with @s04. Contract with Arsenal already terminated. As reported: 6-months-deal until the summer, then he’s a free agent. Now all the files need to be uploaded, then it’s a done deal #DeadlineDay @Sky_Dirk @Sky_Marc https://t.co/aMLMByT23m
As glad as I am that we are finally rid of this total waster, I still cannot believe how much money we lose in transfer fees by letting these fuckers run down their contract, even going so far as to pay them off to leave. Scandalous

Arsenal also working to secure a loan for Zech Medley before the end of the day, still finalising which club he'll go to.

Still a few matters to be finalised but Medley set to join Kilmarnock, a chance to test himself at a higher level after impressing Arsenal with his performances at Gillingham.

According to @MagpieMediaa, Joe Willock to Newcastle is nearly done. The deal will see him stay at Tyneside for the remainder of this season & the entire 2021/22 season. Final agreements taking place. The deal should be completed very soon. #Arsenal https://t.co/hC1dNZrHWt

Are you serious ?? Wtf has any of this to do with pep's cone boy ? Openly said that he wanted mustafi to stay, which straight away makes him look like a c.unt and inept. The other 3 possible departures are loan moves and will bring in fcuk all cash to the club - those deals are done by edu but if we are honest here, you could even do those deals when there is no transfer fee negotiations

Well I’m ecstatic that we’re rid of Ozil, Mustafi , Colossusnatch and Mkhitaryan. If only we could add Willian, Xhaka and Luiz it would feel like winning the title!! Bonus points for getting rid of Pillock as well!
I’m surprised they let AMN go, just because he can fill in several positions. I’m expecting us to sign a LB before the deadline.

So in reality we've gotten rid of Mustafi (Yay!) but the rest of these turds are on loan somewhere and will bounce back in the summer.
We're most likely to have given them away free and are still paying their wages too.
Great business model.

wankers!!!!

Mustafi, ozil,Sokrtis gone for good, kolanasic will be gone fully in the summer(contract up),couple of young players gone on loan, willock and maitland miles will get game time and if they do well we might sell them for a decent sum.

So alot of deadwood gone, alot of the senior players I've mentioned above gone(apparently it was rumoured that there was a german/bundesliga clique within the squad which was supposedly creating a bad atmosphere),its all very well saying we should have got money for them, nobody wanted them ,especially on the wages we had them on.

I'm a glass half full guy,so from my point view all of the above is improvement. Its all very well saying oh such and such club wanted to buy them when there is absolutely no proof that there were other clubs interested.

Augie your saying it was edu who got rid of these players, but surely he couldn't move them on with out Arteta giving him the go ahead.

The highlighted sentence is particularly spot on. So many times I've read on here that the Swiss Turd was practically out the door before Arteta joined and so many times I've argued the we don't know that for sure.

I'm with you mate and my glass is very much half full. Its very rare to see proper signings in the winter window, they are mostly loans. I'm happy with the dross we've finally cleared out.

People have banged on about getting rid of a few and finally the majority have gone. Still some posters don't appear happy!

DB10 can argue if he wants about xhaka's future under emery (he is wrong btw  ), but emery absolutely had frozen out ozil and mustafi when he was given his papers - giving arteta credit for getting rid of players that he himself restored seems ridiculous to me.

Getting rid of the shite deadwood (ozil, mustafi and kolasniac), as well as offloading sokratis (who I liked) is good for the club going forward, but lets not forget that we paid off ozil, sokratis and mustafi, and are probably paying a large chunk of kolasniac's wages - getting rid of any player by paying up their contracts isnt especially hard, so lets be happy that they are gone but not giving out plaudits to anyone in the club for moving them on

So a new manager shouldn't give any players a chance when he takes over ?

I agree that it has been a good transfer window IF the danish kid is good - you know that I have said on here for 12 months or more now, that the success or failures of our transfer windows will be based on our outgoings not our incomings, and no-one can argue with the feeling that we are a better team and squad now that we have offload the 4 players mentioned in my last post.

My concerns now though centre around a lack of cover at left full, loaning out maitland-niles (for his ability to cover different positions), and the ongoing lack of a proper number 8
