Re: Wolverhampton Wanksocks A Tue 2nd Feb KO 6pm
Luiz never touched the player.
What is the point of VAR if it can’t pick that up?
What happened in the second half is irrelevant because the team were understandably stunned by the decision.

Augie for me it’s not even a foul. The guys boot goes back and hits off sideshows knee. Completely accidental collision as happens a hundred times a game.augie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:05 pmgoonersid wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:00 pmA wenger or Emery team would have capitulated, it was damage limitation, FFS what do you want from 9 men ?? Jesus christ !
Did I mention arteta in my post ? Mentioning the two previous managers is irrelevent
What I want is to see a team bust a gut to keep our good run going. Yes pushing up could see us concede a third, but surely a big club like ours doesnt wave the white flag and settle for a narrow defeat ? We should absolutely have pushed up on them and tried to force an error - xhaka, as big a c.unt as he is, at least tried to to close them down while the rest sat back
It was not a last man tackle or a tackle of any description. For a penalty and red card to be given in that incident is a complete disgrace.

Did anyone else see the Leno sending off from the camera behind the Wolves goal?
Looked like the ball skipped off the wet surface and he was actually trying to pull his arm away. His arm is actually moving away from the ball BEFORE it hit him not towards the ball.
Whatever, it was never a goal scoring opportunity unless the officials are taking Traore's pace into account.

As big a c.unt as mike dean is, I think that it only right that he not be blamed for tonights fiasco given that he wasnt even on var duty - the arrogant c.unt is ref at old shatford

Makes no difference he's a corrupt snider cunnt anyway - so blame him!

Unless of course you actually 'Like' Mike Dean

So, if we're on the end of another dodgy red card, the rest of the game and how we manage it is "irrelevant"???Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:17 pmLuiz never touched the player.

Come on Rob. In every team, in every season there will be moments of adversity and decisions that go against you. You know that great teams with great leaders rise above it
How many players did we get sent off in the early days of Wenger? I think The Sun used to make a habit of counting the red cards. The difference back then was that there was always an Adams, Keown, Vieira, Petit, Winterburn, Dixon to roll the sleeves up and grind it out. That 98 team made a habit of getting players sent off - our discipline wasn't the greatest. However, I never thought the game was up with 10 men. If you're going to be a great side you need to get draws from these positions. That was a Wolves team bereft of any confidence which showed in the first half. There was still a point to be had in that second half but we took off our most in form striker and the only bloke capable of holding up the ball and relieving pressure. We gave ourselves no chance. And for everyone who thinks that being captain doesn't matter.......its not about who tosses a coin and shakes hands with the oppo captain. Its about the bloke everyone looks to for inspiration and leadership in situations like this. If anyone think Greta, Xhaka or anyone else out there tonight fits the bill, they need their heads tested

Never a penalty, Luiz didn't foul him. It's very clear that the fella kicked Luiz' knee and then went down quicker than a tart.
Leno should NEVER have even thought about going that far out, but it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity, no deliberate handball. Yellow card.
Some very poor, and questionable officiating, but I'm hardly surprised.
Arteta's subtitutions were terrible (excusing the forced GK one). Taking Laca off at HT when he's been on a good run and we need a goal and then Pepe off who was having a great game.
Genuinely think Arteta struggles with game management. If the initial set up doesn't work then it's all tits.
Can't wait for this project to be over because I can't see it improving.

I have watched it several times now and I agree. We were excellent before that.the substitution decision at half time was poor.We should of moved Sak a to left back and Soares over to the right and taken Ballerina off.rodders999 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:17 pmAugie for me it’s not even a foul. Been a hard one to swallow, probably best first half performance this season.
A couple of errors from players who had been performing well recently.
A missed opportunity to move above the scum.
Still feeling positive, although keeper situation a worry with leno our for 3 games.
And apologies to Augie, sorry lad.

No worries - blood is boiling amongst us all right now, so these misunderstandings happen
