As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Watched Barca vs PSG last night, with Mbappe giving an awesome performance. Fantastic hat trick, his third goal was a beauty.

Had me thinking that when he was at Monaco, before he became known to the world, he was exactly the kind of player Wenger would have signed in the early years with his connections and knowledge of French football.

Yes I'm feeling melancholy today at where our club stands right now. :(
For the love of your fucking sanity don't look up the Wenger almost signed Mbappe story (not a piss take there is one).
I'm waiting for the "I nearly signed Pele" story. :fryingpan:

I remember that well. There was a picture of the pair of them in the south of France sitting at a table by the sea. It looked very much like an old Grandad taking his grandson out for an ice cream and boring the fuck out of him with stories about the war. Or in this case, about how he nearly signed every player in the world. You just knew Mpabbe had only sat there out of courtesy and if there was any talk of moving to Arsenal, it probably went along the lines of: "Will you still be the manager?" "Yes." "Um, I'm off to PSG."
That was the summer before he claimed that he was about to sign Thomas Lemar for £100m and of course, didn't.

City absolutely destroying Everton all over the pitch, it’s like watching two teams 15 divisions apart. I suppose it helps that Jordan Shitford is a division 15 keeper.

Scoring for fun without a striker on the pitch, we’re fucked Sunday! They’re the best team in the league by 30 points.

It was frightening how good they looked tonight, absolutely tore Everton to shreds at will. Not even sure a combined best of the rest 11 would get close to them this season.
