Hopefully it’s just a confidence thing with Partey at the moment because everything he does turns to complete shit. Even a few simple passes at the end went astray. Worrying.

Two things on the partey conundrum -

1. I expressed reservations about signing him back when we were linked with him first - I argued that it is very hard to judge if he is a good defensive midfielder when he is playing in a team that plays so defensively

2. That being said, imo he is a defensive midfielder but being played in the 8 instead of the 6. Pep's cast off loves xhaka so partey is never gonna get that position, so it now means that he is being asked to play in a position which requires a better level of skill than he possesses
