Re: Potential Takeover
To be fair, if they say they’re looking to sell then they lose all bargaining power.
I can’t see why Kroenke would want to hold onto Arsenal for too much longer if the Super League idea is dead in the water. Any opportunity to make big money NOW requires heavy investment into the team, which he won’t do. We’re not a cash cow, anymore. Not a reasonable one, anyway. Let’s say he sells for £2.15bn, then he’s still made just over a billion in profit; the value of the club will only continue to decrease the longer we continue being mediocre on the pitch.
We can only flaunt the international market for so long before we lose ground on that, due to poor form. The longer we continue to be mediocre the more risk we have losing future generations of fans to other teams, thus decreasing our base, thus decreasing the market for the club.
We’re essentially on the last, exhausted kick of an all-but dead horse, what is he hanging on for?

Wenger’s comments on it (it gets a little self-serving at the end) -

Re: Potential Takeover
One report is saying they will invest this summer also they paid for Partey , is that correct ?
Re: Potential Takeover
TFF

A touch inaccurate though as Limewire is still going strong.

Re: Potential Takeover
I suggested threats! I wasn't specific! I could be suggesting the threat that "Stan's wig would be dislodged" at the first opportunity!goonersid wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 6:23 pmThese c u n t s were never going to go quietly!!
Constant protests! Xxxxx! Make them feel attending a game is xxxxx!
Every dirty trick !
We have to force these bastards to sell, now that we have someone willing to buy!
Think, sid. If some idiot does some of the stuff that I just deleted this forum could get shut down. DB10.
On safety, again , I was deliberately unspecific!
I could be suggesting that they were unsafe, from "name calling" " and in danger of being pelted with eggs!
But! We need to fight dirty against the kroenkes and make them feel unwelcome and force them out.
Re: Potential Takeover
This ain't over yet
Daniel Ek will push on with his plans and is still ready to table a bid inside the next 10 days. Furthermore, the Swede is ready for a process that could last as long as six months as he attempts to change Kroenke’s position. [@TeleFootball]
Sources close to Ek insist he remains unmoved by Kroenke’s statement and it is understood he could reiterate his interest in buying Arsenal in the next 24 hours. Ek and the Invincibles are described as being “in it for the long haul.'' https://t.co/Q7AoWmjZdl

Re: Potential Takeover
The protests thursday and sunday have increased importance now - if the fans scuttle away and give up now then there is zero chance he will leave, but IF the protests are ramped up AND the ex Players continue to call for a change of ownership, then the wiggy c.unt will know that a few words about ambition will not make this issue go away

Re: Potential Takeover
Yeah can't see how Arsenal are such a great investment at this point, I guess wiggy could be banking on some form of super league being pushed through long term but with the current trajectory of the club we would not be involved!.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 6:27 pmTo be fair, if they say they’re looking to sell then they lose all bargaining power.

As you say without big investment Arsenal are very likely an asset which will decline in value, slowly but surely.
However wiggy being a stubborn, land grabbing prick he will probably hold on hoping media rights continue to increase in value, if fans are serious about getting KSE out they will have to be prepared to boycott matches and keep wiggy losing money, no excuses, we have to show we are prepared to do WHATEVER it takes.

Re: Potential Takeover
Like I have said before until the fans get back in the stadium any protests are pointless.
Yes a good turnout last week but it will have had zero effect on Kroenke.
Only way is a protest every match day next season with the matches getting stopped either by pitch invasions, stuff being thrown on the pitch, fireworks etc. Oh and any Arsenal fan who buys any merchandise is a brain dead

Re: Potential Takeover
I've heard this banded around quite a few times in the press - as far as I understand KSE 'restructured' some debt so as to free up some cash which was used for the Partey deal, they did not inject any cash into the club, no one really knows as with 100% they no longer have to publish full accounts, but I know which I think is more likely given their track record of never investing!.
Most likely a PR exercise leaked by the club, I'm sure we'll get more of this BS this summer but they'll have to get very creative given the state of our finances!, especially if we miss out on CL money again.

Re: Potential Takeover
The ESL was a shot across the bows from the big clubs, it was just a ranging shot so to speak, Wiggy wont sell until all those plans are 100% dead in the water. Remember 12 owners signed up for it and none of those people like to be balked. Wiggy can afford to play the long game for the moment.
It will take something special to get him to sell up, either in terms of financial offer or the clubs finances taking a huge hit.

Cheers for that , as I thought no way it has come out of their own fortune but creative accounting.sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:17 pmI've heard this banded around quite a few times in the press - as far as I understand KSE 'restructured' some debt so as to free up some cash which was used for the Partey deal, they did not inject any cash into the club, no one really knows as with 100% they no longer have to publish full accounts, but I know which I think is more likely given their track record of never investing!.

Re: Potential Takeover
In recent days we have noted media speculation regarding a potential takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club. We remain 100% committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the Club. We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.
“Our ambition for Arsenal remains to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game and our focus remains on improving our competitiveness on the pitch to achieve this.
