Seems like we were playing silly beggars about Laca and Tierney as neither even make the bench.

More bubbles please SteveO :barscarf:

Ceballos is going to need to be running back a lot covering the Swiss Turd up against Chukwueze.

Terrifying.

For once I wish he'd tinkered and put Cedric back there.

If they play a high line then all good. If they decide to sit then I don’t see how we get through them without a striker.

First thoughts - Lacazette is a big loss

We need an away goal tonight - Martinelli should have started

The fact that Arteta is experimenting with a line-up in a European cup semi-final highlights how out-of-depth he truly is.

BBC showing it as a 3-5-1-1 with Xhaka left of the 3 in midfield and Odegaard behind Peepee! If it works, great, if it doesn’t, this isn’t the game to experiment with formations and he’s a fool! Strap yourselves in lads, this could be a bumpy ride!

There will come a day when the subs bench in European competitions will contain two outfield players and 28 goalkeepers.

That's how we've been setting up lately. Kind of an adaption of Chapman's W/M formation.

3 at the back when we're attacking, 4 when defending.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Chambers, Holding, Mari, Xhaka, Partey, Ceballos, Smith Rowe, Odegaard, Xhaka, Pepe

Aubameyang on the bench, no Lacazette
:barscarf: Xhaka playing in 2 positions at once :barscarf:

Just thought I’d POINT that out :barscarf:

As Xhaxa is playing LB, a bet on a red card for the fool may be worth a couple of shekels, given his propensity for mistimed challenges in his natural position.

As we are in the mood for discussing ex managers, is it a good time to say that I was on a Zoom call with Mr Wenger this afternoon? And no, I’m not kidding

Lets see how this works out...no real recognised striker playing

Relying on the youngsters Saka and ESR to deliver.....both being quality no doubt they can
