Maybe he's just 'keeping his options open'....

"There is a 'yes' from coach Carlo Ancelotti to go for the Brazilian," Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"It's Ronaldinho or Adebayor. Buying one excludes taking the other.

"Ancelotti is ready to build a Milan with Ronaldinho and without Adebayor."

Hmmmmm.......maybe Ade wasn't as hot a property as he thought he was.

As Gus has already said, he has been a little more elusive in his interview with the Sky Sports guy, refusing to say that he would definately be staying at Arsenal.

He told the reporter that 'me and my advisers will meet up next week and decide what to do'!! Hardly the resounding certainty that he's staying at Arsenal that people thought he was giving just an hour earlier!!

It just goes to show, you can't believe a word any one of them says!! :banghead:

What was the purpose of this news conference then? (i didnt get to see it) Was is to tell everyone he was staying, Did he straight come out and say it? and then change his story once interviewed?

I've just watched SSN and I'm in total disbelief with what Adebayor has just done  He's either not very intelligent, or he's a complete weazel...

In any case, even in the news conference, he wasn't very convincing....he said that he has 3 years to run on his contract, and that meant he had to stay...he didn't actually say he wanted to stay.

The 2nd interview just confirmed his plans...he wants to join Milan.

That's how I call it anyway. I guess now it all depends on whether Arsenal will dig their heels in, or let him go

Adebayor's a twat! I hope he leaves the club now, he changes his mind and says nothing is clear within an hour, so away with ya Adebayor.

Adebayorrrrrrrrr, Adebayorrrrrrrrrrrrrr,
Give him 100k.. nnnnnn he will stay

Emm no Ade just leave now, no loyalty for the club at all. It was Wenger that took an out of favour, cheeky and arogant Adebayor from Monaco and made him the half decent player he is. I was all in favour for him leaving and this has just furthered my belief. 25 million yes please.

*edit* Also he said that he's from Togo and isn't in football for money. Coming from the same guy that had a dispute with Togo over not getting his money! The guy is a liar and is so full of himself. Last year he kept saying ' The Fans loves me' - when 99% of us were still unsure whether he could make the step up, with Fabregas in any team it really doesn't matter how good your striker is, he gives it on a plate. No I love the fans, seriously I wish this guy would just leave.

Just been watching MUTV-, sorry, Sky Sports News- and they keep trying to stir this story up. Adebayor says it will be sorted out next week so in their opinion that obviously means he's off to Milan or Barcelona or Real Madrid or Benfica or Dynamo Kiev or Orlando Pirates or Barnet, or that he's taken up playing cricket instead. I know they never let facts get in the way of their stories but I'm fed up with their shit stirring. What pises me off even more is their crappy: "Let us know your views" bit. All they ever do is get losers from Devon and Cornwall to text in how much they love Manure when it concerns them and then read out shit from a spurs or manure fan when it comes to a story about us. If I really want to hear the views of hate-filled simpletons, I'd go and supprt chavsea or the totts. What's the betting that once Ade sorts this out, they'll start the old Fabregas is off to Spain story again? I can just see the Breaking News bit saying: "Fabregas speaks Spanish to a reporter, possible deal being discussed". Text in your translations to us and we'll see if we can lie about another story. One here from Baz in Tottenham, he says: "My Primary school language skills tell me that Fabregas told the reporter that he's off to Real Madrid for £2.50 and a jug of Sangria."
Come on Ade, shut them up and stay with us.

Does this now make our bargaining position less strong? Surely with him not demanding a move and being tied to a long contract we could hold out for a larger sum? But if he decides next week he wants to leave and Milan knowing this could offer less than we want or try to stagger it in different stages.

Perry,

Ade had his chance and refused to take it!! Even if he ends up staying it will only be because Wenger doesn't want to sell him - and not because he truely loves the club and wants to stay.

Number 5,

You're right. It will weaken our position in terms of transfer fee demanded unless we get an auction going between AC Milan and Barca.

I agree that he's had his chance and should be staying at Arsenal because he wants to, who's to say that if he does remain with us, we won't go through this next June and July too?
One other point, have these players not realised that AC Milan are only playing UEFA cup football next season? Mind you, a massive wage increase would probably soften the blow of Thursday night football.

I would have wanted to sell ade if the £22m-£25m figures quoted were accurate and I have never made any secret of that fact. My belief was that for that figure we could have replaced ade with an even better player and it might surprise some of you to known that I the eternal pessimist was still holding out some hope of us signing david villa (and I have a go at others here for not being realistic

Anyway when sky announced at lunchtime that he was def staying with us I took the view that at least it was some form of closure given how the nasri/hleb and ade situations have been played out for weeks now :x However to hear now that what he has said equates nowhere near the level of commitment stated earlier has really pissed me off. It is about time our club grows some balls and flog cnuts like ade and hleb who obviously no longer feel proud to play for The Arsenal  Earlier in the week I asked why it is that players no longer want to play for us but right now I just dont care..........I want them out :finger:
