Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
It would appear that no one is for sale as there has been no confirmed outgoing deals of anyone of consequence yet.
We can't even give half our twats away and yet our Muppets are still trying to broker deals over the odds.
Christ I know we should always try to get the best money possible but the rest of the footballing world has clocked on to the fact half our outgoing players aren't that good

The football money circuit is breaking up. We do have players that would be useful to many clubs but the problem is that those clubs do not have the money to buy them.
We all know that in every European league there are various grades of financial ability to spend and our players are not of the standard those clubs require.
Was Xhaka for instance of the standard that PSG, Real Madrid really wanted then the chances of his pre virus valuation being met would be higher. If however you come to a second level team like Roma the value will be much lower.
This window has all the hallmarks of a last minute rush to transfers , there is only so much money to go round and it had decreased as the clubs finances have got tighter. They are all looking to get the best deal either buying or selling. It is going to be a test of which club blinks first and sets the process off.

Are Aston Villa delusional or are we overestimating our status. I think its Villa who are delusional. I dont think many Arsenals fans these days are off the pace with regards to our current predicament.
I sighed in despair when United squeezed us for RVP, accepting the intense rivalry was over when Wenger debased himself before Ferguson by practically gift wrapping RVP. It proved we had fallen from one of the top tier teams. But Aston Villa signing a player we want to keep and hold in high regard should be ridiculous - although the fact they are trying is alarming. Remember shrugging of Man United and Fergusons attempt to lure Vieira away. Or no doubt batting back all the interest in Henry when he was the best in the world. Once upon a time we were a hard target for clubs wanting to sign our players. The cracks started when Cole was sold to Chelsea, since then we have gotten softer and softer, to the point Aston Villa are trying their luck.

According to @footyinsider247, Aston Villa are submitting a third bid for Emile Smith Rowe after #Arsenal hinted they will sell at the right price. https://t.co/HZ1NNWcmMI
According to @PreeceObserver, Aston Villa Sporting Director Johan Lange has been encouraged after talks with Smith Rowe's representatives, with the player said to be 'blown away' by Villa's interest in him. https://t.co/MExkwbRa3c

If ESR goes to Villa he will be sold within two years to anyone of Chelsea, City, United or Liverpool. It will be Gnabry all over gain except worse because he will be playing his trade at a domestic rival.
ESR is on 20k a week. What's Willian on, 120k a week was it.
He isnt at the Euro's. It should be fucking easy to sign him up and yet this dithering is encouraging Villa

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Smith-Rowe won't be sold to villa ffs. Its all paper speculation and Ornsteinism.
Even the stupid fucktards Edu and Martinez-Lite know that they are on a tightrope with the fans. They know the fans are at least unsettled and in many cases hugely pissed off. Selling one of our few genuine bright sparks and prospects to a lesser club like villa would see fucking turmoil in the stadium next season.
I can't believe how much of this social media / tabloid bollocks some of you buy into!

If either of you also enjoy single malts, I recommend the Glenfiddich 21 year old Gran Reserva. It was finished off in rum casks, creating an absolutly BEAUTIFUL taste.Clummo99 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 1:12 pmHavana Club with a mixer but a Bajan rum called Mount Gay (fnar fnarArsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 12:35 pmThere's a man with taste! DB I admire your optimism and as much as I want to agree ESR won't be sold to Villa I still believe that for the right price, whatever it might be, he would be sold to anyone.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 10:27 amSmith-Rowe won't be sold to villa ffs. Personally I've said all along ESR, along with any player is available for the right price, thankfully most club's are cash strapped and wary of overspending right now.
You do however massively underestimate the fucktardness of Arteta and Edu again in my opinion

Db10, do you
(a) believe that pep's water boy rates him as high as we do ?
(b) believe that pep's water boy wouldnt sell him to raise funds to buy a player he really likes (odegaard for example) ?
(c) do you honestly believe that pep's water boy gives a flying fcuk about any tightrope he may be on with the fans ? I think the man is so arrogant he will do what he wants regardless of any backlash from the fans

No, I know how fucktardish they both are!

And I agree, with no footballing ambition at the corporation - sorry, club - anyone is up for sale at the right price. But villa aren't citeh and they are pissing around lowballing on a player that has the serious potential to be world class and has partly proven that. Villa won't pay the right price. And this horseshit of "he's blown away by villa's interest in him" is just that horseshit. He's at one of the big three in England. And before the usual fucking whiney suicide vest wearing punters come crawling in with "we're not a big club anymore", we are, whether it fits their agenda or not. Why would villa being interested in him be something to him? It's an insult if anything. What next - Stoke think he's great?!

Now if citeh came in with 100million I'm sure as fuck the idiot brigade that run the club would sell him in the blink of an eye. They could at least (in their minds) try and justify selling the club's future star for that kind of money.

B. Who knows? If the offer was massive, probably. But your dislike of Martinez-Lite doesn't mean he will make every single wrong decision open to him.

C. Obviously not the actual fans getting on his back per se. But he is aware that it was the empty seats that made Wiggy Buffoon Features finally sack Wenger. If it implodes next season with protests, fights in the stands, and then finally 20,000 empty seats, Wiggy will sack him.
And then make the fucking Big German Vagina manager....

Express Sport has learned that 19-year-old academy prospect Arthur Okonkwo is likely to step up & replace Alex Runarsson & he is very highly rated behind the scenes at London Colney. #Arsenal https://t.co/oMyIArlaGS
The Gunners are expected to launch a formal bid for Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale after Euro 2020 with Bernd Leno keen to embark on a new challenge, as he detailed in April. #Arsenal https://t.co/4st8JPXGV4
