Express Sport has learned that 19-year-old academy prospect Arthur Okonkwo is likely to step up & replace Alex Runarsson & he is very highly rated behind the scenes at London Colney. #Arsenal https://t.co/oMyIArlaGS

The Gunners are expected to launch a formal bid for Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale after Euro 2020 with Bernd Leno keen to embark on a new challenge, as he detailed in April. #Arsenal https://t.co/4st8JPXGV4
If we sign Ramsdale I honestly don't see myself bothering much this season. He is, without doubt, a fucking terrible 'keeper. One of the principle reasons Sheffield U tied went from hard to beat to a colander.

Smith-Rowe won't be sold to villa ffs. Its all paper speculation and Ornsteinism.

Even the stupid fucktards Edu and Martinez-Lite know that they are on a tightrope with the fans. They know the fans are at least unsettled and in many cases hugely pissed off. Selling one of our few genuine bright sparks and prospects to a lesser club like villa would see fucking turmoil in the stadium next season.

I can't believe how much of this social media / tabloid bollocks some of you buy into!

Db10, do you

(a) believe that pep's water boy rates him as high as we do ?

(b) believe that pep's water boy wouldnt sell him to raise funds to buy a player he really likes (odegaard for example) ?

(c) do you honestly believe that pep's water boy gives a flying fcuk about any tightrope he may be on with the fans ? I think the man is so arrogant he will do what he wants regardless of any backlash from the fans
A. Of course he does ffs. He's seen him play, he knows what the kid can do, whether he admits that in public or not.

B. Who knows? If the offer was massive, probably. But your dislike of Martinez-Lite doesn't mean he will make every single wrong decision open to him.

C. Obviously not the actual fans getting on his back per se. But he is aware that it was the empty seats that made Wiggy Buffoon Features finally sack Wenger. If it implodes next season with protests, fights in the stands, and then finally 20,000 empty seats, Wiggy will sack him.

And then make the fucking Big German Vagina manager.... :censored:

And martinez-lite is a term of endearment ?

Absolutely!

Tbh though I don't hate the man, I just really really don't rate him as a manager. He's a novice and obviously should be nowhere near our club as manager.

But I don't think he's a complete idiot, just inexperienced and way out of his depth. But then if his own arrogance led him to take a job he was obviously not prepared for, he only has himself to blame.

Arsenal have submitted an offer for Aouar. The offer comes close to Lyon's valuation of €20-25m - @AlexisBernard10 (some journalist mush for le10sport).

Would love us to sign Pedri from Barcelona. He's a world star midfielder in the making.

The signing of Ben White is expected to be followed by that of Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, with player sales to take priority afterwards. Mikel Arteta & Edu are focused on adding Premier League proven players to the squad. [@ChrisWheatley_] #afc https://t.co/wPuFGcsAbe
Been saying this for years. Although Willian and Luiz are Premier League proven players and they didn't work out too well, however, given our current status against the chavs it was a step down for them. At least for Ben White it will be a step up if all goes through. Personally, I'd like us to sign Pope from Burnley. Germany's no.4 keeper for England's no.2. Also, if we are after a winger I have liked the look of Wales's Dan James from Manure during the Euros. Barely gets a look in under ole.
I would normally look up and across europe for players but given our current meandering in 8th, no european football, it is hard to see us getting top players to come to us. Whilst a lot of people wouldn't think this would be a great signing, if we got Sterling from Man City, that would be a major coup. Apparently, Arteta had an excellent relationship with Sterling and was able to get the best out of him, so it may not be totally out of reach for us, if the player wants to work with Arteta again. Sterling, Martinelli, Saka with ESR as a front four would be something worth shouting about. I still think Auba will be sold.

I say this with absolute conviction buddy, but that highlighted line deserves to have your account on here permanently suspended - the guy is absolute, absolute dogshit

Re the goalkeepers remark, can I suggest that putting on your cv that you are back up to jordan pickford isnt the greatest selling point to future employers who would/should be interested in better - let's be honest, how many people on here would be begging the club to sign pickford if he was available in the morning ? I know that I for one wouldnt be, and pope isnt even considered to be better than pickford
Is Pope better than Leno? Yes. What's Pickford got to do with any of it. Seaman was behind 40 yo Shilton, Woods and Dave Beasant when we bought him, on the international stage. The point I was making with Martinelli is that I'd have him play as a striker through the middle instead of Auba. So, Willian or Dan James who would you start with or prefer having come off the bench?

For starters pep's water boy WONT play martinelli through the middle anyway, but if he did, them my preferred winger options would be saka, pape and nelson, and then maybe Tyreece John-Jules - I'm sick of the club buying cast offs from the likes of the chavs and manure, and I would rather try out one of our own academy players

Seaman was behind quality keepers in shilton and woods - pope is not. Pickford is an average keeper whose cockiness far exceeds his talent, and not one big club would go in for him if he was up for sale in the morning. If we are changing our keeper can we please make it a decent sized upgrade ?
I'm with you on the academy players.
Personally, had Pope not been injured he'd be England's no.1. He's so much better than Pickford at being a goalkeeper. He's a keeper that earns Burnley 9-12 points a season.
