Citeh cheeseycocks H Jan 1st 2022 KO 1230

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Augie,I've been known to have a little rant on twitter after a few drinks too many and then I spend the next day going back and deleting tweets .

Hope your young lad is alright.

I was sober and have no defence

The young lad is fine but is pissing me off. In the few days before christmas the missus tried to clip their wings on the basis of the escalating covid numbers, but I argued that (a) we are all gonna get it at some stage anyway (b) that they are young people and they cannot expect to give up their lives continually for something that seems to be no nearer the end than it was 18 months ago. Anyway he goes out to a crowded pub, contracts the virus, and is moaning about having to isolate for 10 days  A change is coming to the system in the next couple of weeks that will reduce the isolation period to 5 days, and it cant come soon enough

Honestly some of you need to have a long hard look at yourselves, I dont care if Arteta is lucky, I dont care if ESR is better than Odegaard..... i care that Arsenal are winning. Seriously the agendas some of you are spouting are getting beyond embarrassing now, you would think this was a Victims forum some days

Christ if we win you will be spouting bollocks that we won because Arteta wasnt there just to suit your agendas even though right now you are using it as an anti-Arteta shit stick..... truly fucking embarrassing lads

No one really making a fuss that the top 4 are playing each other this weekend. The answer to that is that we are on the top 4 and no one in the media can believe it.
I'm expecting our game to be postponed with COVID starting to work it's way through the coaching and playing staff. Aubameyang is already with the Gabon national team in Dubai. I hope it doesn't get called off.
Can't believe people on here accusing Arteta of bailing out of this game because of COVID. Some sad individuals on here, probably not Gooners.

Augie apologising ha ha :D but with all due respect to the angry shop owner he did make valid points about his view on the ability of Arteta . Arteta can put a team together to beat Norwich or Burnley but most are quick to forget manure or Everton . The whole Xhaka thing annoys the fuck out of me , he wanted out , we wanted him out and yet he is playing , a red card waiting to happen (wasn’t it citeh last year ). So against citeh I want at least a battling performance and not shite against Everton .

If he got us in the top 6 fair enough but I am still to be convinced .

There is zero excuse for getting played off the park, nor conceding 3 or 4 goals........Brentford only lost 1-0 today and we are no longer the side that lost to them on the opening day. There is no excuse although I think our midfield is going to get overrun, with Odegaard getting bullied and Xhaka getting by passed like he's not there, putting the back four under relentless pressure
I love how you say there’s zero excuse then go on to contradict yourself by explaining exactly why it could be 3 or 4 goals… our midfield!
Neither of them should be picked is what I'm trying to say.....and if we do lose by 3 or 4, neither will be blamed either. Especially Xhaka. In fact I can see Xhaka getting frustrated, being late to everything and getting booked or even sent off.

I was so hoping Xhaka was going to leave, he would have ended up exactly like Ramsey. Those Italian fans work you out pretty fast.

Come on folks lets play nice!

Hope Augie and family are ok with covid and no adverse effects.

Im still not convinced the current run is anything other than right time right place in terms of fixtures, but happy to be proven wrong, as Falkirk says Everton and United easily forgotten, but the city game is no barometer whatever happens, yes i hope we don't just be meek and mild, and hope we show some spirit but they have taken apart better teams than us. Scum away is far more crucial and our level and a barometer of where we are, although i appreciate a derby can mean anything. As long as we dont lose that and those *word censored* dont get CL football i'm satisfied. Until we get a proper midfield and a top class CF to replace Laca (not that hes top class but his style of play is crucial to our recent success as he hold it up and brings others into the game which Auba can't) we will not progress properly to be challengers again ourselves.

Happy NY to you all when it happens.

I agree with all of that.If we had two midfielders who were not prone to making mistakes in dangerous areas I would give us a better chance of springing a surprise especially with the form of Martinelli and Saka. Our passing can be terrible against teams that apply pressure and City will take full advantage of any Partey misplaced ball or Clive s ten yards behind the player Hollywood pass. Both players haven't got the speed of thought to cope with pressing teams.
Against a team of City's quality I don't understand the tactic of every man behind the ball as it leaves no outlet and the ball just keeps coming back .It must be better to keep their defence occupied by leaving a couple of players higher up the pitch waiting for a counter attack otherwise City will be camped in the final third just waiting for the inevitable mistake to happen.

The citeeh team from a few years ago (when they had peak fernandinho, peak Aguero and david silva etc) would have walloped our team at their ease - this citeeh team carries the same arrogance, but hasnt got the same talent imo. I expect this citeeh team to maybe go 2 up against us and then ease up cos of cockiness, but this team isnt good enough to cruise like that and it will allow us back into the game. At the end of the day it wont make any difference to the result, but there will be Gooners who will be ecstatic over their perceived guts in the performance, and they wont acknowledge that citeeh let them back in - citeeh fans will go away bemoaning that a few years ago they would have wiped the floor with us, whilst our fans will say that years ago we would have folded at 2 down and that this is a moral victory
