Cesc - We all love you

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Had it been anything out of 'the ordinary' don't think Cesc would have mentioned it. Pretty sure Arsenal knew about it.

Reading the story did make my day though.

Happy Friday 13th everyone!

...as someone quite reeightly sais earilier (and Cesc did himself say)..One day he will go back to Spain, but right now with Le Boss in tow he is quite happy to stay - we should be genuinely happy about this..let's remember that the only loyalty these days lies with us diehard gooners and not the players....

Just a shame that others may not have been as honest as Cesc   , so lets appluad him, not criticise methinks...at least he will be pulling on the white (?!!!!) of Arsenal next season

I know I'm joining this thread a bit late on,but there are some
points I'd like to raise.
If anyone from Real Madrid has in any way spoken directly
to Fabregas about joining them without any permission to
do so by Arsenal, then they should be taken to task by Uefa,
yeah, yeah,we all know it goes on blah, blah,I'm sick to the
back teeth with the way Real and Barca go out and flagrantly
disrupt other club's (Especially ours!) players by naming
them as their "Targets" for the coming season or using
them as pawns in the political chess games they play over there
to get re-elected as presidents of their clubs.
Dont get me wrong,I know Arsenal aren't whiter than white, but
its the way these two go about it,so smug in the notion that
they are untouchable and beyond reproach!
Its about time Uefa started to have a few words with these
two and pull them up a bit!

Secondly its the point someone made earlier about Cesc
eventually returning to Spain.I've thought that from probably
after his first full season with us, that we wouldn't keep hold of
him,but this is always a price we might have to pay when
investing in young foreign players.Like its already been stated
Cesc could leave us and return to play in his homeland at
his prime having already given us 8 or 9 years service,
nothing wrong there you would say,but it just concerns me
that its a "Given" that he will leave us.
I mean look at Ronaldo at ManUre,he too was signed at a young
age and brought here,he also recieved terrible(If warranted) stick
over here after the world cup,yet he shows no signs of wanting
to ever leave them.Ok, I know that it was punted around directly
after the world cup that he might leave, but ManUre firmly stuck
to their guns and told anyone that was sniffing around to fuck
off he wasn't for sale!
It would just be a reassurance to think that come the next few
seasons you know Arsenal would have the same bullishness
to turn around and say the same when it comes to Cesc, but
somehow I'm not that confident, history dictates otherwise!

Well as I hoped I'd already made clear I sincerely hope that circumstances change regarding us and Cesc and he decides to stay, but AW is his mentor and they have an agreement and if he does go it'll probably be looked upon as the price we have to pay for getting him for nothing at 16yrs old which means he has NEVER played a professional match in his home country, and don't forget altho no technically no rules were broken Barca were absolutely livid at having one of their academy's hottest prospects swiped from right under their noses for zip!
As for Cristiano Ronaldo, ManU have had to make him one of the top three highest paid players in the world in order to secure his "loyalty" and I for one don't think he'll be able resist the lure of playing in La Liga for his entire career either!

It seems la liga is more attractive than the prem for lots of players and i think we may see alot of English players move out there, i'm not sure if thats a bad thing or not ??? as for arsenal players i.e Cesc moving to spain yeah it will happen i just hope we get his best years because he is amazing

I would like to make a speach as this is my 200th post.

Well you all know, and it's not a surprise anymore. Im staying here, to stay a little more longer for the forum I love. It's been amazing since i joined the forum, seeing all you having so much speculation. I know many people thought I would leave and I will not lie and tell you I did think about it,Um at one point it crossed my mind, but at one point im a man who thinks with his heart and my heart told me to stay. And one thing it seems like when i first joined the forum. If it wasn't like people like IHH and Adam as well as many other's I wouldn't be here to share these great memories. The past year and years before the support people have given me has been more than amazing, And how Tony was given the moderators job this week and how people have kept together has also been amazing.

My shortened and edited version of Thierry's press conference last year.

I'm hearin rumours that Reyes is on his way back cos the clubs can't agree a fee, like I said it's just a rumour don't know how much truth is in it, but it's no secret that Madrid are tryin to call Arsene's bluff on whether he really would take him back, to see if they can get him on the cheap!!!

Young Ben-Gooner,

Well done for reaching the 200 mark. 8) :) And in such a short time as well!! Imagine how many you would have had if you hadn't gone away for the week!!

Just one question regarding your acceptance speech: What happens if IHH suddenly leaves due to 'internal disagreements' with other forum regulars? :?

Or if Adam (U.F.G??) won't make clear whether or not he will renew his contract with the on-line gooner after his current one expires? 8)

Will you then come out and say that - despite all your soothing words above - you've always wanted to post on a Barcelona fans forum??

We would really like to believe you, but how much faith can we put in your words? I mean, Spain is lovely this time of year and you'll get to post with other world greats like Toni Saunderso; Mi Hateio Hlebish..; Choppi and DB10goonergas!!!(apologies, not good with spanish names and accents!).

With the greatest respect, and if it's all the same with you Young Ben- Gooner, we will wait and see what happens come the end of the season with regards your future!! I mean, we don't want to see our hearts broken yet again by one of our idols!

Maybe there's hope anyways, as AW said yesterday followin the match, "Cesc has shown his commitment to the club, he has six or seven years left, but in my mind he will never leave"!

I really doubt whether cesc will be a gooner next season.....spanish media says that its a done deal that he will be a galatico next season.

we all love cesc but does he love to be gunner in the future and that has to be seen....

also loved Arsene Wengers comments on reyes  "with all the global warming its still not warm enough for him" or words along that line but did make me laugh

Sunday mirror this morning are saying Wenger hinted he is going to stay.

They're always sayin things like that but Cesc has said that he wants to stay and win as many titles as possible with us and the young 'uns had actually made a pact to see the job thru, so as I said yesterday the key to whether Cesc is goin to be a lifer is the success of the club especially on the European stage cos I think AW will stay forever in some capacity or other but hopefully he'll see twenty years in his current role!
