ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Technically a great deal getting rid of PEA. He doesn't want to perform for us, I think he has 18 months left on his contract at approx. £350k a week........that saves us £25m. Not bad at all!

I take it we are a registered charity though?? :rubchin:

In a few weeks time there will be boos ringing round the Emirates when the next fuck up comes and Kroenke will be laughing at the 60 K who helped enhance his bank balance. The only way change will ever happen is if the stadium becomes a ghost town but until then those going are contributing to this shit.
Fuck off. And change the record.

Aubameyang out the door for nothing and we still can't give Xhaka away. Probably for the best that he's gone as the last year or so has been pretty average and mostly just poor. I suppose he never fulfilled the role he was meant to do which was to score the goals which got us back into the top 4 places and it's hard not to think back to a few big moments which cost us; that penalty against the scum and the fucking horrendous miss against Brighton late on, a few games from the end of that season. If he'd scored either of those, we'd have finished third or fourth and been back in the champions league. Then there was that last second miss against Olympiakos the season before last and the disinterested performance in the semi-final second leg against Villareal last season.
He's been there at the tail end of the Wenger days, the Emery period and now the Arteta years. Not the easiest period for anyone but it was hard not to feel that he was going through the motions quite often in matches.

My only hope now is that this is the beginning of the end for Arteta and that the heat gets turned up on Kroenke

Even by modern Arsenal standards this transfer window has been a shambles and confirms once and for all that we are just another average franchise in the portfolio

In fact based on what the gaylords who watch the shoulder padded egg throwing say, it sounds like he has one half decent sports team so we are on a par with his lacrosse and hockey teams

Our squad excepting youngsters is now:

Defenders - Cedric, Gabriel, Rob Holding, Nuno Tavares, Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White

Midfielders - Mohamed Elneny, Alberto Lokonga, Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe................. Cuntface

Forwards - Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, Nicolas Pepe

Holy shit, that is threadbare even before taking into account ability :rubchin:
There are a couple of keepers as well :-D

This will make the rest of the season absolutely fucking toxic now. The fall out from every defeat will be increased 10 fold on the back of this complete shit show of a window.

This is Wenger levels of self harm and I’m not sure the manager will ride out the storm. Baring some absolute miracle I now can’t see him being manager at the start of next season, he’s signed his own death warrant here.

This window also confirms that there is not any ambition to get back into the top 4.
I knew there was no ambition to win things or ever compete for the title again but to know that we are not even wanting to aim for a top 4 finish is pretty depressing.

No way Arteta gets sacked - he has done too well this season

Remember the glory days when top 4 was in jeopardy and we went out and signed Arshavin who’s goals propelled us back to the promised land?

We can’t even be arsed anymore.

I can't help but feel cynical and say that this window was all about trimmimg the fat and cost cutting after last summer's outlay.

It's been an excellent window for the money men but for us fans it's been an absolute disaster of epic proportions.

Why would people chucking in their season tickets do anything? Explain to me slowly and step-by-step how that improves anything. Don’t be flippant. I’m interested to hear how this master plan works in practice.
