As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
This was always the fear. That a proper team would expose just how average we are.
But apparently saying that means you have an "agenda". Yeah I have a fucking agenda - it's called honesty. Fuck off.
We are good enough to beat the majority of shit teams in the league but once the standard goes up at all we fold. The lack of attacking threat tonight is embarrassing, the only problem we caused them was due to a poor back pass, that's unacceptable.
Absolutely. This is the squad that Martinez-Lite and Edutard left us with. With Clive as a starter and no proper striker. Totally unacceptable.

We’re still a good side - but we need to integrate a top drawer striker and an upgrade on Xhaka.
I don't agree Cameron. I think we are an average side with a novice manager. Agree 100% though that replacing Clive and signing a top striker will improve us, but we also need a better more experienced manager.
Fair enough. “Good” is relative as tonight has made clear. But I guess, barring a complete meltdown in the last ten games, most would agree Arteta deserves a shot to take us a step further next season. He is a novice but a novice with some promise. If he can’t get us too four this year or next then of course he needs to move elsewhere.
The guaranteed silver lining about this season is that one of Klopp or Guardiola is going to be fuming at the end of it.
Sorry mate there is no world where Stupid Teeth and the murdering victims* winning the league is a silver lining. Unless it's them stopping the scum from winning it.

We need to be in the Champions League to move forward. We've gone as far as we can without getting in there. The only way forward is getting in there and hopefully being able to bring a few goalscorers in.
Agree the lack of attacking threat is a bit embarrassing. Other teams have had a lot worse players than us talent wise but caused more trouble in the final third. The question is can we stumble over the finish line in the top 4? I don’t know. The pundits said we were great against Leicester but I didn’t really see it. It was a bit of a scrappy win for me - a set piece goal, and a fortunate pen and not that much besides.
Us - really good in spells but unable to buy a result against the top clubs. Six games, six losses.
Praying its the Europa League and not the CL, as we will see more second halves like this when someone like Bayern or PSG have absorbed our attacks, sucker punched us twice and just watch the last part of the game played out like a training exercise
