As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Fantastic 1-0 away win at Villa Park. Bounced back after the disappointment of Wednesday night to dominate an away game. We deserved a couple of more goals in that first half. Like Arteta said in his post match interview, like he said after the Liverpool game we need to take our moments. We have the players that are capable but just seem to lack that confidence in the penalty area.
Saka's goal the 2000 in premier league, greeted with less of a fanfare than Liverpool's last week. His goal is an indication when you take a shot rather than over play it.
Leno did well coming in and keeping a clean sheets, great save in 94th minute to keep us the 3 points. Some breathing space between the chasing pack for top 4 finish. If pundits think Spuds can make up the 6 points to overtake us, maybe we should be considering the 5 points to overtake chelsea a real prospect.
Why do the twats on BT refer to slippy G as Stevie...and apparently he's the 2nd coming of christ
Oh stevie will have delivered his team talk and Stevie will have let them know what he's expecting, i fookin hate BT and their pally chummy approach to commentary.....so fletch and macca...shut the fook up and get on with it you cretins.
What did we learn from a hard earned win?
Mainly, Peepee is just brain-dead - end of.
Leno can still do a job. Nketiah is Championship level at best, we still need a 20-goal striker, oh and Clive will always be a c*nt.
But a win’s a win, so fair play.
Come on Boro and the Shammers!
Huge win.
Arteta definitely appears to be making progress.
Given our small squad, we've definitely taken advantage of not having the distraction of cup football.
A top 4 finish would be a successful season, particularly at the expense of sperz and the mancs.
Arteta is no doubt still learning on the job, but as long as he is learning, then that's fine by me.
Hopefully he can bring in 5 or 6 signings in the summer and offload the remaining deadwood.
Then hopefully look like a comfortable top 4 team next season.
