As a goalscoring winger overmars was only surpssed by the great Robert Pires who is certain to be in the top 10

Cliff Bastin was a goal scoring winger.

The reason I ask, is that it seems that no one is arguing about Ray Parlour's inclusion in the top 20, yet in my eyes, he wasn't really a great player. He never made an impact at international level, and for the most part, was a player who did a job for us, rather than anything else.
Parlour gets in on his length of service, his tireless running, his positional play and the one truly fantastic season he had in 1997-1998 when he was taking on everyone from the right wing.

I would rate him above Overmars.

He was not as skillful, but he gave the team balance, and heart, and strength.

One of those players that you notice more when he is left out the team than when he is in it.

Freddie just voted in at number 11.

That means the Top 10 should conisist of these (in no particular order)

Henry
Adams
Bergkamp
Wright
Pires
Brady
George
Seaman
Vieira
Limpar???

Personally I think Perry Groves could sneek it.... :barscarf:

Limpar or Bould? It will probably be Anders, but it will be a disgrace it Tony Adams partner in crime who was player of the season in 1991 and had his greatest game in Copenhagen in 94 will not make the top 50 another amazing decision in this crazy poll

I agree - it should be between him and limpar and was going to suggest him as well. Just the way this poll is going and the standings of some of the greatest defenders the club has seen from the pre-wenger era appearing ridiculously low (McLintock/Sansom) I just cant see him making it into the top 10. No doubt a great servant for the club and still is he should have def made the 50 :(

You never know it could be somebody else that will surprise us. I hate to say it and it will be a joke if it is but with the younger people voting it wouldnt surprise me if JA Reyes made it :banghead:

Exactly Flash - 11 players listed now we have agreed Bould deserves to be in there. Nobody could argue that those 11 are not in the 50 greatest to have worn the red & white. To say that players like Wiltord and especially Anelka deserve it more is a disgrace.

I think Online Gooner should run thier own poll!! :barscarf:

Personally I'd like to see Adams as number one, followed by Brady, Bergkamp and Vieira. Something tells me it will be TH14 though.

But this poll is beyond a joke by now :banghead:

that night from Bouldy possibly the greatest individual performance I've seen from an Arsenal player

for shear importance its my #1

but on quality the romford pele's ledge night v Bremen is up there
several of henry's performances v italian opposition in CL
Bergkamp in the magnificent 7 v Everton and his hat-trick v Leic (didn't atually see the hat-trick game tbh but from highlights he was awesome)

must have missed some obvious ones....?

mus have missed some obvious ones
