Martinelli (2) and Saka scored away against Leeds.

There is going to have to be such a HUGE turn around if we are to get anything from this....
Tuchel will have highlighted every weakness we have
In-coming Bumming

Depends on your definition of striker. They were both wide, high, attacking players in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Wingers basically. Other away games also goals scored from these positions.

We might need to revert to a back three. Tavares and a Lokonga/Xhaka duo needs all the help it can get. As well as Cedric who has been playing dogshit lately. Initially did well keeping it simple. But now he is taking free kicks and corners and trying chips over the time. Forgetting his place as a back up right back.
And play Martinelli down the middle. I dont know how many fucking forward failures need to happen before it happens. But if we play Nketiah or Lacazette upfront we will be lucky to score 1 goal, which wont be enough to win.
I resent the way we capitulate so much. You see Ukraine holding strong and you just know if they had our football teams mentality, the surrender would have happened on day 2 of the battle.
We bottled it under too under Emery, There is something rotten to the core with the clubs culture. I think its because we are too lenient and give people more chances then they deserve. For example, Arteta does not deserve a new contract without CL football. If we give that contract we reestablish the atmosphere that Wenger created were shortcomings were ok and 'winning isnt everything'. I honestly thought Arteta was cut from a different cloth but the team plays with no confidence, desire or energy. They are terrified at the moment.

You can't call Martinellli or Saka strikers to be fair, yeah they're playing in attacking positions out on the wing but they're regarded as midfielders.
A lot on here (and elsewhere) have called for Martinelli to be given a go up front but we've yet to see it unfortunately.
The players who have played in the league as a striker for us this season - Auba, Laca, Eddie and Balogun (briefly) - no goals from open play away from home. Dire.

It was obvious the stat was referring to the central striker (Eddie/Laca/Aba/Balagun) so no need to explainrodders999 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 10:21 amYou can't call Martinellli or Saka strikers to be fair, yeah they're playing in attacking positions out on the wing but they're regarded as midfielders.

Does it include Gabriel? He plays central striker on set pieces!
