Spurs were on the verge of breaking away. Ahead of us when we were leading into games away to Chelsea and home to Man United. Whilst they had Brighton at home and Brentford away. This is why top 4 is still a real possibility. Because they will shit themselves more than we will. We hand them the initiative and they give it right back.

But this week is so key. West Ham away. West Ham focus is on the EL. They play their semi final three days before we visit, then they play the second leg four days after the game, our game is smack bang in the middle of their European semi final - we are an unwanted distraction. Moyes must surely rest players, and many of them too. They are chasing the second biggest prize in Europe and a ticket to next years CL. They are too far away to finish 4th. The Olympic stadium pitch as nice and wide and open. This game is much easier than it looks on paper. As we might get to play a West Hams second team.

If we beat West Ham and then beat Leeds at home - the chances that Tottenham match our results are slim. Leicester at home, and Liverpool away. a 5 point lead heading into the NLD is feasible, but just imagine if Leicester take a result and we do our job, it could be as high as 7 or 8 points leading intl the NLD. Albeit this is best case scenario, but its not farfetched.

Momentum is with us, Tomiyasu is back and Nketiah is offering a presence and goal threat upfront.

Zero shots on target against Brighton and Brentford (Bradford?) in their last 2 games - long may it fucking last.

Surely we beat Leeds and spurs lose to Liverpool. Can’t see Leicester getting anything so the West Ham game is very important before the derby. If we manage to win both we should be 5 ahead of spurs before the nld.

As you say West Ham will be focusing on EL and I’m sure I read somewhere that they only have one fit centre half just now (although they’ll still look more organised at the back than United or Chelsea, or us for that matter!)

Having said all that, predicting our results is guess work as the last month or so has shown!

I thought Chelsea and Utd played into our hands by playing an attacking game that gave us space to attack. The problem with Arsenal and Arteta is that we struggle against teams that set up defensively to hit us on the counter. Moyes is a good tactical manager and will know this and look to expose our struggling defence. A lot will depend on whether their EL tie is over for either side in the first leg. A draw keeping that game in the balance would be good. Newcastle are very confident at the moment and that might be good as they will play attacking football as the Chavs did. Everton will set up defensively and could be a dodgy game. The Spuds have got Norwich away, Burnley at home, and Leicester who have their own European tie to think about and are playing for nothing in the League . I expect them to pick up 9 pts there.I am hoping we will get 9 pts out of Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Leeds. It is looking like it is going to be the NLD that decides it and as neither side has won away in the NLD since 2014 I am not too confident about that game, especially with our young team in a hostile atmosphere.

Good weekend. With ManUre, West ham and Wolves all losing, we’re almost guaranteed at least Europa league football now.

I see west ham rested key players against Chavs for the Europa league game so hopefully they do the same next weekend ahead of their 2nd leg.

Mane just poked Holgate in the face then seconds later pushed Allan in the face. Result? Yellow card. Not 2 yellows and a red because only Michael Oliver does that

Richarlison giving it the full shithousery today. Went down 3 times in the first half for absolutely nothing. One of them holding his head after he literally just headed the ball clear!
Modern footballers, eh?
And Mane is just a dirty, cheating c*nt!
