Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Xhaka is 29 and has never performed to the expected level of a top professional footballer, ASL for his faults is 22 going on 23 in his first season in a top class league and may come good eventually, Xhaka cost 35-40M, ASL 12-15M now who has the room to improve IF coached correctly?
When did this current obsession with players being at the top of their game in their early 20s start? Most players hit their peak between 25-30 when they have had the time to really learn their jobs, it is utterly barking that youngsters are expected to be consummate professionals by the age or 21-22 these days
I have my doubts ASL can become what I want from an Arsenal CM but i am 1,000,000% sure Xhaka never will

Time to re-introduce that in CAPITAL Letters for those we know to be....

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I guess our dealings in the transfer market for full backs will depend on who we manage to offload. We still have AMN, Cedric, Bellerin and tomiyasu for RB.
Still need more reliable cover at left back though, my guess is that Tavares will go out on loan. Is kolasinic on loan or has he left permanently? (Hopefully the fatter, I mean latter)

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Is there an Emoticon available that we can have put on the system that simply says "Troll" (as in Ignore this uselessCunt)?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
When talking about midfielder's to come in why aren't we looking at ward-prowse? He's way too good for Southampton. He's stronger, more consistent than Madison and deadly from set piece play.
If he ends up at Liverpool to replace Henderson he will be recognised as "world class" by the media. He'd be an excellent foil for Party and Odegaard

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Two players who I had pegged to leave have really changed my mind. Elneny and Nketiah. Elneny because at 50k a week his cost is modest and he never rocks the boat about game time, a genuine squad player and safe pair of hands.
I also think Nketiah could become a good footballer. Is it worthwhile to lose him on a free and spend 30-40m on DCL or Tammy Abraham? If we signed Jesus I would rather sign Nketiah on as the second striker. Spending money doesnt always translate to success. Pepe has been usurped by Saka, ESR and Martinelli, two Hale End lands and a player signed from the lower divisions in Brazil. 23 years old who has been overlooked ever since he broke into the first team squad. Naturally we cant promise first team football but as the second striker he would still get game time but there I think he could be a late bloomer like Jamie Vardy, or dare I say Ian Wright. He is worth keeping.

Ward Prowse is decent but I think he's on a long contract and we would be talking 70m+Nos89 wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 9:46 amWhen talking about midfielder's to come in why aren't we looking at ward-prowse? I thought it was Tielemans who was joining? If so, he is more than competent enough to play alongside Partey, and Elneny is a competent deputy as he has proved these past three games. That just leaves dopey Clive to be fucked off, loan out Lokonga because he is at least 2 years away from being ready and sign one more there. Sadly we will keep Clive though

I have championed ward-prowse on here for a long time, but no doubt that Tielemans alongside partey would be far and away my preference
Clive is gonna get a contract extension and dont think otherwise. The pr machine has been in full swing lately lauding the swiss c.unt, and imo it is to pave the way for the upcoming contract extension announcement. I cannot for the life of me understand fans bigging up peps cone boy and in same breath talking about the swiss turd leaving in the summer - those two c.unts are tied at the hip and as long as we have legohead, we will have swiss turd in the team

The timing of these things do Not happen by accident or coincidence... any nous knows that
He gives a low profile interview that suddenly gains momentum on social media because it gets picked up a couple of anonymous journo's and so becomes widespread public news and Hey! Presto! - The cun.t gets an new contract/extension and most likely another wage rise.....

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Ward-Prowse has a very good engine and as we all know is Deadly from free-kick situations, Tielemans is good both defensively and going forward but I would go for the former, he is the one that makes Southampton's mid-field tick and is likely less expensive.(?)
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I have said from the start that Xhakatard will be his first name on the team sheet next season and any notion of him leaving is fanciful. Its a marriage made in heaven - Arteta wants to be as 'right' about persuading him to stay as he does Saliba not being good enough, and Xhaka knows he will NEVER play at a higher level than the one he's at now. He stays I'm afraidaugie wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 12:18 pmSteveO 35 wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 12:09 pmWard Prowse is decent but I think he's on a long contract and we would be talking 70m+Nos89 wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 9:46 amWhen talking about midfielder's to come in why aren't we looking at ward-prowse? NEW: Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Oleksandr Zinchenko who could be available in the summer. Arteta believes Zinchenko is the best alternative to compete with Tierney while Nuno has been awful for the past couple of weeks after Tierney was sidelined for Knee injury.#afc https://t.co/JGHdBo6szL

There are thousands of good ukranians dying in this disgraceful war, and probably most of them are better at football than this useless c.unt - I would bring back clichy before I would sign that useless c.unt
