Apparently our "priority" now is signing Gabriel
"Johnny Average" Jesus.

Jesus wept. But not as much as I did when he pulled on the Arsenal jersey!

I don’t watch other clubs these days so it’s disappointing to see the general consensus is that Gabriel Jesus is utter shite.

Hope he’s better than you guys think he is. His record for Brazil looks okay and he gets plenty of assists. Here’s hoping 🤞

Equally, most on here have been banging the Tielemans drum for ages so hopefully he’s as good as most on here say!

It was always my dream to see us line up with Saka, Laca, Xhaka, Mertesacker, Nketiah.

Was also looking forward to signing Patson Daka from Leicester and bringing Kaka out of retirement.

We could also have started doing the Haka before games.

It isnt that he is shite per se, it's that he isnt anywhere near the level we need him to be - he playing in a team that scored 99 league goals last season and he scored a measley 8, and 4 of them were in one game against relegated watford. He may well have good assist stats, but again we have players capable of doing the assists already, but we dont have a proper goal scorer and I dont believe jesus will fill that need in this team

He’s, arguably, the sort of player you’d bring off the bench to create or score a goal. Not someone you’d pick first to lead the line for a team that (apparently) wants to be up there.

Just read that Juve want to swap Melo for Martinelli.

:coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

Are you laughing because you think it wouldnt happen ? Do you think pep's cone boy see's martinelli as unsellable ? I certainly dont think lego head rates martinelli anywhere near as highly as most of the fans do, and I suspect he wouldnt hesitate to sell him in a heartbeat
Agree 100%. Martinelli (along with ESR) is one of the few players we have that actually drives the team forward, the momentum of the team always improves when he comes on and drops when he is subbed.

Klopp is a Huge Fan of Martinelli and depending on what happens for the scouseFilth in the transfer window, if Mane leaves, I can see Stupid Teeth coming in for Martinelli.

I think we should get Hickey in as he can play LB or RB and seeing as Tierney & Tomi both appear to be injury prone it would be a wise buy, but there again we are talking carpet head and EduCunt here. :?
Not a chance he will sell him , behave , unless its silly money.

Hickey is close apparently....
You say that but look how long Martinelli had to wait to get a chance to start! And that only came about because of the Auba/Laca situation. And as some of us predicted Martinelli stepped up to the plate, but that still doesn't mean carpet head wouldn't sell him. Anyone who thinks he wouldn't is mistaken; he let Gendouzi go, or rather he shipped him out, not that there is any comparison between the two players, But Carpet head has already proven how wrong he can be by getting Clive to stay and playing him week in week out.
People forget what a bad injury Martinelli had , he may have brought him back the right time. How many times have we brought pkayers back too early.
Guendozi as you say is no comparison.

You could argue every ma ager has got it wrong with Xhaka ,its not just an Arteta thing, even Jose wanted him , everyone seems blind to how shit he is, I also wouldn't rule him out leaving this summer still.

Then there is the Saliba situation....a guy rated the best CB in france.....
Again which you could argue a successful loan then , he has matured ready for next season , fofana is the only teenahe cenre back i know of playing , its a rare thing . He has a long term injury maybe was overplayed as we have found to our cost in the past.

Agreed. He's not utter shite but he is not what we really need and if we divert big money to buy him then it's a mistake.

Nice guy to have a drink in the pub but useless as a striker. Glad at least one of the dross is going.

Seem to remember guys called Adams and OLeary both making their debut at 17, i was at both games, Tony slotted in straight away barking out orders and marshalling the defence....O Leary much the same...quick and read the game well

As for Saliba if he was playing so well why was he not recalled to The Arsenal as hes still our player i presume...ah wait a minute i forgot we are loaded with quality CBs

Paid around £30 million for him and did not get a game before being loaned out, arteta must have seen his ability to pay that money...could we afford to pay that sort of money, then loan out when we was desperate?

He has also previously stated he wants to remain with Marseille

He has to integrate him into our Club/form friendships/get used to London life...etc...if he is to make a go off it

Heres hoping we can see what he can do next season in our first team...still not convinced that will happen

Arsenal are reportedly refusing to release Hector Bellerin from his contract to allow him to sign for Real Betis. :D :D :D
