Official. Fiorentina won’t trigger the buy option for Lucas Torreira from Arsenal, no agreement on €15m fee to be paid within today. ⛔️🇺🇾 #AFC

“I’m sad - I did my best to stay here but someone didn’t want…”, Torreira says.

He’s now back at Arsenal, out of contract in 2023. https://t.co/qddRLYi4Ol

I'd read a few weeks back that he wouldn't be moving this summer due to his impending errrr.....bother.

To be honest I know fuck all about what he's been accused of or where it's at legally but you'd have to be massively concerned that the shit could hit the fan with him at any time which may be why the fee is so low.

He has only 12 months left on current contract and hence why the fee is low - at least that's the line being peddled in media
Yet Jesus, in a similar situation is £45 -£50m ?

On his official Insta he says that people worked in “a bad way” to prevent him joining Fiorentina.

If he means bad as in incompetent, then he must mean Edu :barscarf:

Because martinez lite was incapable of organising a team to nail the top 4 spot that was in their hands with 3 games to go, we now have a greatly reduced transfer budget and the stupid basque clown might be damn glad to have Torreira back - he would still be in my starting 11 as the squad currently stands

I despair I really do. 25m is nothing in today's terms. If we'd acted quickly we could have potentially snapped up Tielemans and Bissouma for 50m, a very decent midfield pairing.
Now Spuds are getting a decent midfield to go with their very good attack, Kulesevski and Bissouma are very very good players, if they add a quality playmaker to it.....maybe Eriksen? Then they would likely be a shoe in for top 4 next season.
Now watch us lose Tielemans as someone comes in with a 30m bid, then we're fucked. Back to Xhaka being first choice next season.
How very fucking Arsenal! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
fackin hell bissouma is decent but how many big clubs sniffing around him? none. as for the bloke out the burbs turn it up, hes bang average at best. just because he scored some and got some assists against the dross they played in the final 3rd of the season, doesn't make a good player.

I'd certainly start him ahead of fucking Cataclysm Brain Clive every single game. He has some fight in him. Maybe that's what Martinez-Lite doesn't like?

Personally, I think Spurs are gonna lose a couple of their important people. I wouldn't be surprised if Conte leaves for PSG, and takes Son with him. Although Mourinho is touted as next PSG manager he hasn't pissed off the Roma hierarchy yet and he only tends to move club once he's been sacked. Conte has the option to leave this summer, and as far as I know he hasn't signed an extension to the 18 month deal. Without Kane and Son, they really don't have any other players that are better than ours. There are mumblings from Son's camp that he needs to move to a big club to become world class. Easily, see him moving abroad this summer.

We will dally as per usual. And then end up signing a bang average player two weeks into the season.

Whipped by his missus who doesn't like the clouds in London, he's content to piss away his career at some mid table dross in the shit fest league that is Serie Morgue.

I would love it of your predictions were Correct mate, But, now that scum are splashing the cash and getting the players Cunte wants he is sadly going nowhere.

He wanted 2 players in the January window: Betancour and Kulusevski; Both of whom have made a positive impact and difference to the end of season run in, they may not have cost big bucks But they did the job he wanted, whilst we did sweet Fanny Adams.

Providing Bissouma doesn't end up doing time (and he will have the top briefs in the country, so we know what that means) they will have got a bargain.

Also, all part of the North London rivalry, they beat us convincingly at the swamp, they know it and this will have been hammered home to their players, that we had 4th in our hands and we handed it to the fuckers...

Conte isn't going anywhere for at least the next season unless by some miracle or Spurzy curse they utterly fuck up. And let's be honest even if they do, our novice manager is capable of taking advantage of that.

Sorry to be so depressing but that's how I see it. :?

Seems bizarre that we keep getting linked to that Barca reserve keeper Neto. Makes no sense given we’ve signed 2 keeper (Ramsdale and that American chap) recently.

Being linked with Raphina too. Probably bollocks but spending a large chunk of cash on a position occupied by Saka seems a little odd although I do wonder if Saka’s future is playing centrally so maybe this will facilitate that :rubchin:

I'm wondering what it is about him that clubs that he has been on loan too, don't want toinvest and buy him? He clearly doesn't want to stay in London, with a world cup coming up he'll want to be playing regularly.
