Realistically ? Ok if I was in charge I would put the £50m it would cost to buy jesus, and add it to the £35m it is costing to sign vieira from porto, and I would buy one of the following -

1. Calvert Lewin (conditional on proper medical green light)
2. Dembele from Lyon (again depending on medical)
3. Rashford
4. Toney
5. Mane
6. Raul Jiminez wolves
7. Richarlson
8. Griezeman
9. Martinez (Inter)
10. Jovic (real madrid) on loan

They are just 10 players off the top of my head that I would sign before splashing £50m on jesus - no doubt there are others too, but I havent time to go searching
Interesting list. Most would be attainable I guess but obviously not Mane; you don’t leave Liverpool for Arsenal when Bayern want you. not sure Griezmann or Martinez would fancy it either.

Calvert Lewin would have been my choice but his fitness is a worry and I bet he’d still cost silly money.

Richarlison seems a good fit too but I must admit I’ve gone cold on Rashford. Is he sulking, injured or lost interest in football? strange one.

Toney and Jimenez would be nice options from the bench.

As for Jesus, I’m surprised by the almost Ramsdale and Tomiyasu levels of negativity towards signing him but I think his style of play (movement, work rate, creativity, touch, link play, etc.) is a really good fit for this Arsenal team and will get more out of our young attackers too, so hopefully he surprises people.

I would have preferred he was signed alongside a more physical or unique option though (Jimenez, Toney, Cavani, etc) as Nketiah doesn’t offer anything different for defenders to think about really. It’s a contract that has left me cold but good luck to him.

I would also be on board with offering either suarez (ath madrid) or cavini a one year deal to have as a back up ahead of nketieh
Matron you’ve given him the wrong meds again

Hilarious groundhog day on here....

The optimists telling anyone that questions a signing to "be positive" and "give player X a chance". Just like last summer.

And then next May we finish 5th to 8th after those players have the impact of a wet fart in a tornado.

Lads, you be as positive as you want. That's great. But that does not make average and poor players into great players. That's not overt negativity. That's being realistic based on experience. Hope is grand, but it is not experience-based is it.

I'll take 20 quid of anyone's money right now that this manager with these signings will not win a cup or finish top 4 next season. And yes I know the transfer window is still open, but who do you expect the novice Martinez-Lite to sign that will turn us into a top 4 team or a team that wins a cup? He has a record of not addressing our needs in the transfer windows. He spends a fortune yet still we come up short every season in key positions.
Speaking of Groundhog Day, spending loads but coming up short in key positions? Could easily be talking about Wenger or Emery! - maybe it’s not a novice thing, maybe it’s an Arsenal thing?!
Yep that's that's good point to be fair. I think it possibly is an Arsenal thing to some extent. But I think when you add the novice element you don't get top 4 finishes.

Obviously aimed at me , I'm a glass haf full man or try to be , had too much negativity in my life recently I need something to feel good about.
I will keep on looking for positives and refuse to be beaten down. Yes I am realistic but he damed if he does , damned if he doesn't. We moan when nothing happens until the end of the window , if we get all these deals done early thats a welcome change .

Also you may be overlooking all these midfielders may be the end of Xhaka 🙏
Aimed at g88ner as well mate! :D

I hope you are right on Clive losing his place. That one issue more than any other makes me doubt Martinez-Lite.

Yeah, thought it was aimed at me as well but was happy for gooner265 to take one for the team

My stance is always give players a chance  I even gave Willian a positive spin until I actually saw him play   Gabriel Jesus is my new Willian, so I hope I have better luck this time!

🚨 || Napoli have reportedly set an £86m fee for Victor Osimhen and Arsenal are more than willing to pay it, already setting up a proposal [Via - @Gazzetta_IT: Print Edition].

🚨 || We can confirm the earlier @TimesSport article that Gabriel Jesus is very close to joining Arsenal. The total offer to City is €58m (£49.5m) [Via - @GEGlobo].

Signing this fella is depressing me - we are never gonna be where we want/need to be as long as this fella and nketieh are our striker options  For second summer in a row it seems that we are giving this clown big money to spend, and the net result will be that we will fall further behind our rivals and a thin transfer budget for the next manager to come in to try and fix this c.unts mess
Who would you realistically sign augie? - someone who will get us to where we want to go as you say?

I’m ok with Jesus at this point as I’m not seeing links to anyone better (?), but then again, I would have been ok with Vlahovic and Abraham too yet they weren’t popular on here either.

Fucccckk you must have Strong Neck Muscles !!!

I would put Toney at the top of that list, if he remains at Brentford watch him score more goals than Nketiah the Feather (who btw is SHYTE - all these claims about so called offers from other prem clubs Like fuck there was - all agent propaganda bollocks)

Thing is IF Jesus does turn out to be a Dud; and I hope he doesn't but ends up being a Bargain etc... The buck will stop right ar Carpet Heads door because it is he and he alone who has been pushing Edu & Kroenke to sign him... Watch this space as they say.

A deal for Leeds United’s Raphinha is thought to be contingent on a Nicolas Pepe exit. It is believed Arsenal & the Ivorian are keen for this to happen - but the club would want to see a reasonable return on their record signing. [@TheAthleticUK] #afc

Granit Xhaka could you please fuck off (i don't care how you do it or how much for, just do it) so as to free up some funds for proper signings.

Thank you in advance.

Oh, and take that c.unt Nketiah with you.
