Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
FFS Xhaka has the devils own luck, if the accusations are proven as intimated what became a atomicly slim chance of the *word censored* being sidelined/disposed of are gone no matter whether we buy another DM or not
I genuinely dont think I can watch another season of that twat waddling up and down the pitch and pointing aimlessly and needlessly at nothing

I obviously have no idea what you're talking about, however Kante is 31 and we don't want to start the old Chelsea reject game again. He was good in his peak mind you but we're likely to award him a 5 year contract at £stupid amount.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:01 pmThe Kante links are a sure sign that it’s the beginning of the end for you know who that’s been accused of you know what.

There is nothing in the Kante rumours. It's a made up story as everyone knows about the uncertainty with the one who must not be named.
Few stories linking us to Lucas Paqueta. Seems like we may be favouring him over Tielemans as I don't see us signing both.

One of our midfielders is rumoured to be the premier league player involved in the rape allegations, and as luck would have it it isnt the swiss c.unt

As for speculation around rape allegations can only say if anyone is convicted of such a hideous crime in a court of law deserves everything coming to him...and they will be waiting

All the international players are due back today, so we will know very quickly who's missing.

Growing belief at Fulham that they can wrap up a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Still work to be done, but likely fee would be around the £10m mark.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
It will probably be a pittance plus a bit more tagged on if they stay up.

I have no faith in Arteta, so most of what he does puzzles me, but I could never work out why he dropped Martinez, who'd performed fabulously well in the run in of the 19/20 season, including being a big part of the winning Cup run and immediately reinstated Leno once fit and sold Martinez. Then, in no time at all, he buys Ramsdale and drops Leno. Made no sense.
It's only my opinion, but Martinez is a better keeper than both of them and ticked all the right boxes for me. Big and commands his area, catches the ball instead of constantly punching it (or trying to punch it in Ramsdale's case), reassures his defenders, rather than Ramsdale's chaotic and hysterical screaming, shouting, high fiving

The clown Arteta got rid of the best keeper we'd had for years, for no discernible reason. The guy had performed brilliantly.

Final touches being put together for a contract extension for arsenal centre back William saliba. Player has impressed in his loan spell and he is close to doubling he’s current wages and getting gifted the #2 shirt.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Strange how the kante rumours started at the same time he was banned from entering USA due to his vaccinated status. (As well as the other rumour doing the round). I'd still be happy to see him join as he's still got a lot in the tank. I'd prefer Tielemans or the "best midfielder" in Italy. They said milner was over the hill when he left city for Liverpool, hasn't turned out too bad. So, I'd never write off a DM of his quality despite being an ex-chav.Gunnerz4life wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 4:53 amThere is nothing in the Kante rumours. I don’t suppose you have had 30 years in football Neil ?Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:17 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 11:30 amGrowing belief at Fulham that they can wrap up a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno. I would happily have kept Martinez as no1, as long as his performances merited it, but, if rumour is to be believed, he wanted an assurance that he was no 1 over an experienced keeper and if Arteta had caved to his demands that early in his career he would have been crucified.
If we can have the Ramsdale who was performing at the level prior to his England call up then, in my opinion, we got an upgrade.
