Thought he was excellent in midfield in their play off win against the Scots last month and think he's being signed to primarily play in that position for us with the option to fill in for Tierney at LB when he inevitability gets crocked after 2 minutes.
Zinchenko at around 25 odd million would be a good signing if signed as someone who would be a squad player capable of filling in in 2 positions and would do a decent enough job. I hope he is being signed as a back up to KT who could fill in midfield as well when required, not the other way round.
However if his signing means that we will not sign a midfielder then it's problematic. He may be miles ahead of Xhaka but it will be hugely underwhelming if he is signed as a starting midfielder.

corrected that for you
If we sign him, Tielemans and one more attacking player then the top 4 party celebrations in the summer of 2023 in Big Poppaz bath tub is gonna get wild wild WILD
Not sure why there is hostility towards Zinchenko. Yeah he's made the odd mistake, which young player hasn't?
He's also show glimpses of outstanding attacking talent in a team that has won back to back league titles. To be in that team regularly, a player cannot be shit. Is he better than we already have in the squad? Yes. Will he improve our squad and give us versitility? Yes. So, what's the damn problem?
Not fussed either way as long as the player improves the squad and improves our chances of winning trophies.
Not to dwell on the point, nobody was excited or "over the moon" when Graham signed Smith, Dixon, Bould and Richardson, or when Wenger signed Henry, Pires and Petit. If Arteta has a plan for them, then it's his job to make it work.
Yes people cite Willian and Pepe but not even Willian himself realised he was awful. And Pepe just completely fell away with confidence.
Buying good PL players for £25m to £45m is good business.
We are often too quick to belittle our players and once the die is cast it's rare to see peoples change of heart.
Over the years there have been players that supporters for whatever reason didn't like . In my time going back to Jon Sammels who was given dog's abuse from the stands but he scored the winner against Anderlecht that gave us that first trophy in 1970. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbCnRr3wbPg)
This guy may or may not work out any more than some of the ones listed above , but if the salary and fee are as reported he is an asset and another member of the squad.
£35 million is not a lot in this day and age apart from when Arsenal are doing the selling.
BTW :- What would you give for a centre forward that could get headers like Radford did for the second.

yes Sammels was the whipping boy at the time......but they had some team then...notice the state of the pitch
According to @BILD_Sport; Arsenal are one of those interested in signing German winger Leroy Sane: Bayern want €70m to sell the player. #afc
It's like somebody asked me to make out a list of citeeh players from pep era who I would NOT want us to sign, and then gave pep's useless cunting cone boy and edu implicit instructions to go out and sign them for AFC I almost cried when we pissed away 50m on jesus, but his signing would be heaven compared to signing zinchenko and sane cos they are both useless c.unts
Arsenal are working on securing an extension with Bukayo Saka as Manchester City have identified him as their number 1 target to replace Raheem Sterling. Reports, @SamiMokbel81_DM.

Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson is set to join Chelsea. The 18-year-old had been speaking with Arsenal about a new deal, but talks had broken down. [@ChrisWheatley_] #afc

Already too late then. He’s off.
He'll be off there for free because some fucking idiot at our place will probably agree to a deal whereby we pay for Jesus and the Ukrainian and we give them Saka for nothing in return. About six months later, they'll work out what's happened and try to give Saka a contract extension without realising he's moved and then just offer Xhaka a new deal instead.
