I watched a Serie A game yesterday, it took less than a minute to give an offside decision and there were no lines shown either, they obviously are using it wrong over there, bloody continentals can't do anything right
There’s none of this shit in any other league in Europe.

I thought VAR would rid the league of refereeing incompetence, however what I failed to factor in was the fact that the very same incompetent referees would be the ones operating it.

Burn it fucking down the integrity of the league is in the shitter.
As I've said ever since it was introduced mate - our FA never wanted it and are hellbent on deliberately fucking it up so the clamour to get rid of it grows. As said above, you don't get this shit in Italy or Germany

Ok, tin hat time. I'm going with the ultimate heresy here and will no doubt end up with a lifetime ban from our noble Moderator.

I'm getting VERY worried about the Scum. I've rated them as a team for a while and Pochettino built a good outfit, who thankfully always fell at the final hurdle. Trouble is, they've now moved to another level. I'm desperately hoping that City don't have an off year, because they're the only side that I think the scum will finish below. So yes, I think they'll end up in 2nd place, but running City very close.

I know I'll be told that they'll implode and get all "sperzy" as they always do, but that ain't gonna happen under this manager. Conte has succeeded at the top level with the chavs, with Juve and he's managed the Italian national team team, unlike Lego Head who is just out of managerial nappies. Conte is the bloke that I was screaming for us to replace Arteta with a year ago, when he was available and I was gutted when the scum got him, because I knew he'd transform them.

They will lose very few games this season and will dig in and grind out results when they have to. Conte has them organised and playing to a system and has second raters performing well in that system. That's the mark of a top coach. They give little away, but get forward with power and pace and have players that can finish.

It was no surprise what happened with our game at their place at the end of last season and that was a reflection of the two managers rather than the quality of the playing staff. That result was devastating, not because it stopped us getting 4th, because we're nowhere near a CL side yet, but because it allowed them to get 4th and without a CL place I think they'd have lost Conte, Kane and Son. Others here have made the same point.

Anyway, sorry chaps and I really, really hope I'm wrong, but it's them and City this season.

Tin hat securely on. :D

I'm not impressed with them at all to be honest. From the games I've seen they've scraped by......but of course they've got one of the best strikers in world football to bail them out and he has done. Emerson Royal, Ben Davies, Eric Dier - all featuring regularly and all fucking shit. The midfield doesn't impress me either. The front three are outstanding, and Conte has definitely done more than Podgie to get that backline in shape and in fairness has made them harder to beat despite those shite players (none of whom we would take). I just don't think it's enough in this league any more. People are writing the Mickeys off but when they come back to full strength they will finish above Spurs. Also the fat tongued England captain will come back from the World Cup absolutely fucked having played every minute of every game

They won't win the league

I'm normally this forums chief knicker twister when it comes to the scum but even I'm not worried about them this time round. The schedule with the slavery and death world cup is going to be absolutely brutal and they wont have the luxury of rotating midweek in Europe meaning it's only a matter of time before one or both of the front two break. Once that happens they're fucked.

They've been flaky as fuck this season, destroyed by the chavs but stole a point thanks to referring incompetence  and all their wins have been dour smash and grabs aided by a lot of luck and poor finishing by the opposition (especially that Forrest game).

Conte's tactic is to sit in and then counter to Son and Kane, that will only get you so far before the rest of the shite in the team start to expose you badly. The more games they play the quicker the they'll hit the skids, bring it on, I'm all for it 8)

Well, their crap players were part of my point...as I said, he's got the 2nd raters performing in a system and that's the mark of a quality coach. I'd back City to win the league (most would), but I've a feeling that the scum will be closer to them than the scousers, who will improve.

Their front three are indeed outstanding and that's the problem. Hard to beat and then relying on that front line to nick goals. It pisses me off massively that we sat and watched them bring in Conte, while we allowed Captain Black to stagger and stumble through last season. :banghead:

I sincerely hope that you and SteveO are right, but I'm fucking worried. Nicking goals and points when you don't deserve them is what top coaches bring you. Lucky in the Chav game for sure, but I think you're being a bit harsh with the rest of it. Let's put it this way, I'm not looking forward to 1st Oct one bit.

We will see how they deal with city on Saturday. Not seen anything from them that makes me think they've got a better chance of winning the league than we have.

Nobody 'gets away with it' for 38 games - the best team always wins the league, and they aren't that. Against Wolves they were absolutely shit - outplayed in every department, apart from in the box and if anyone looks at Wolves 'goals for' column they will understand why. Against the Shammers they were outmuscled and overrun in the second half. Conte has added defensive steel but with the personnel they have, it just isn't possible. If anything I think they have a worse team than before with a better manager. Not a prayer of them winning the PL - worry ye not

I need to get this out there and make it clear now. I think City will win the league. I have a horrible feeling that spurs will be the club closest to them.

What worries me is if City fuck up for some reason.

What I don’t want in May is everyone telling me that I said the scum would win the league. I can see them being a reasonably close 2nd.

That is it. I hope I’m wrong by 19 league places.

City will put three or four past three scum next weekend. Bindippers will beat them home and away, we will beat them at home as will Manure. City will win the league by 15 points or more.

I'm afraid for the pant wetters, this weekend will see the hysteria levels hit new heights as the Scum will beat City yet again

Two things you can safely predict about City

1. They will lose to Sperz
2. They will bottle the CL

Both will happen again. But they'll still win the league

If our team have anything about them, then they will; within the next 2 - 3 games absolutely slaughter & destroy someone, it would be
Oh! So very nice if they could do it either to the BlueScouseFilth orThe Scum #COYFG :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
