ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I've seen a bit of Trossard, very handy player, causes defences all sorts of problems, definitely got an eye for goal, he will be a great addition to our squad.
That's good to hear. I hope he does very well for us.

To be honest that's not a bad price for Trossard, PL proven, regular Belgian international and reasonable goal scorer

Exactly the type of transfer we need, good player, and established like Jesus and Zinchenko, we have enough potential young players.

Of course there's no guarantees with almost any player but from what I've seen of Trossard he looks like a decent player. Not every signing has to be world class. Romford was never world class but he was a massive player for us. Fingers crossed this guy turns out superb for us too. :barscarf:

Fee was 20m with 7m in add-ons. Personally I hope we have to pay it in full.....especially the addon for winning the PL :D :barscarf:

Yes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying players who have proven performances in the Premiership despite what the press make people believe. It's almost like a decent signing has to be £50m plus from another country just to keep the media machine and Twitter transfer bollocks going. If you play up front and score goals in the top flight, you probably sort of know where the goal is and with decent service and better quality players around you, you'll probably score a few more than you did before. Good luck to the bloke and I hope he gets off the mark on Sunday.

Understand Leandro Trossard contract with Arsenal will be valid until 2026 and not 2027 — small change from few mins ago. 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC

More: medical tests will take place on Friday and official statement will follow.

Apparently Trossard and Benny Blanco were good mates when at Brighton.

We need more than just him though.
