No one else in. Just Soares and Lokonga possible outs.
Given the fact that every journalist has said so since around lunchtime, and sod all has happened since, I think that was obvious.
Repeating what I was told earlier. Jorginho we signed just after lunchtime by the way. Choose to ignore it. Up to you.
Quite literally not ignoring anything, just pointing out that we don’t need you going all Mystic Meg on us by saying “we’re not signing anyone else,” when that’s about as clear as it could possibly get.

Mikel Arteta on signing Jorginho:

"Jorginho is a midfield player with intelligence, deep leadership skills and a huge amount of Premier League and international experience. Jorginho has won in his career, but he still has the hunger and huge willingness to contribute here."
https://youtube.com/watch?v=uBT8uQDcXaU&feature=share

Video of his game v us from 2 years ago I think ?

Looks like he could be useful in drawing teams out of their block, retaining possession and letting those with the ability to take players in and create something. Odegaard / Saka / Trossard / Martinelli

It’s not mystic meg though. I’m telling you what I was told. No ins but Soares and Lokonga probably going out. I’m not guessing. I’m telling you what I know. As I say. Up to you to keep believing whatever you want to believe.

Once again, it’s got nothing to do with “believing.” Your “news” has been “news” everywhere, all day; it’s not like you’ve got the scope on anything that we don’t know about, so you repeating what we all already know is pointless.

Funny how accurate my news is though isn’t it. Caicedo bid about 4 hours before it broke anywhere.

We were in for him. 100%. Couldn’t do the deal.

18 month deal means we could easily ship him off to a Serie A club in the summer and recoup most of the transfer fee if it looks like it’s all going a bit Willian.

The Italians like having their international players playing at home so would be an easy transfer to do at 6-8 million.

Couldn't afford caicedo as we spunked all out money on the women's record signing...what a facking joke!!!
No Brighton refused to let him go!
Honestly the fucking negativity and utter bullshit on this thread today is embarrassing
Turn it up sid you typically rival augie in the misery stakes! :D

It's disappointment I think and the lack of foresight. As I said before we signed elneny cover not partey cover which was yhe more important especially given the situation we in.

Anyway is he the 3rd iti to play for us? Lupoli, galli (rip) have I missed any?

Vernazza was nrth London finest.

At the end of the day, our midfield depth is better than when the day started.
This month we've got in cover on the wing, cover at LCB and cover in midfield.
ESR on the way back, Jesus on the way back.
I think we've done the right thing in getting cover this month. Partey still starts ahead of Jorginho.

I still think it's a decent signing, 12 mil and a relatively short term contract, experienced player, it could just prove to be a very astute transfer.

Did you say the same when we signed will i am ? Or maybe when we signed sideshow bob ? Or maybe when we signed helmet head ?? :banghead: :banghead:
I can't remember that far back
If I'm going senile, then I'd live to hear your "reasoning" for claiming you'd rather see Ben White in midfield ahead of a proven International and plge midfielder!
Augie you are more twisted and bitter than a corkscrew

Sid would you not agree that our game is based on intensity, pace and energy ? Jorginho has NONE of those traits these days. All very well Stuart putting a clip from two years ago, but the reality is that we have bought the 31 year old jorginho and not the 29 year old version. As Steve O says, he's not good enough for midtable shite but good enough for a title challenger - how the fcuk does that add up ?

How ? We signed a midfielder and sent sambi to palace on loan, so numbers wise it is very much as you were, and that is that if we have one injury in that position we is fcuked
