Nah I reckon that’s harsh on Odegard. You might as well say the same about Bergkamp who was surrounded by tough seasoned pros his whole Arsenal career. Xhaka lasted 83 minutes,in which time he gave the ball away many times,tried his best to pull city players back,and generally looked so far out of his depth,just shows how good Partey must bet to make the Swiss wankspangle look half decent when he plays

Honestly, my first reaction to that game is primarily applauding the team for being top of the league after the half way point. I don’t know how we did it because the gulf in quality was significant. My second reaction is Xhaka was absolute toss and we desperately need an upgrade. Finally I wish Ramsdale wouldn’t keep doing those stupid passes but in fairness in the 2nd half as soon as the ball went into midfield he knew it would come straight back.

Very disappointing. Poor performances again from several players. Saliba seems to have lost some pace since the world cup and runs like Mertesacker now. Gabriel is just flaky, always has been, always will be. Tomi had a nightmare, Martinelli anonymous yet again, Xhaka....dogshit, as is now the norm again and Eddie.......he gets in great positions but he's just not good enough, nowhere near it. Not sure how we make it better, we don't have that many players!
