I see Mudryk isn't happy at Chelsea.

Can't really feel any sympathy for him.
No doubt, he didn’t want to go there but if it was a choice of there or staying in Ukraine then I guess I can understand it.

Don’t speak too badly of him, it was clear we were his first choice but our bid didn’t stack up the same as the.

Arsenal did not trigger the option to extend Mohamed Elneny’s contract, instead signing him to a new fresh deal, which includes a drop in wages as part of the agreement. Elneny was ‘more than happy’ to sign the new deal. [@MarkyMBryans] #afc

I bet he was.....working the equivalent of a half-day week whilst getting paid the same for doing a week of 12 hour nights with bonuses... :?

Fair play to both parties in that case.

He gets to recouperate from his injury while picking up a wage for another year and I think I read he was doing his coaching badges, so let’s him complete that while with us.

Arsenal closing in on new Bukayo Saka contract. Important progress made, crucially the player expressing his overriding wish to stay. Small details still need finalising but direction of travel is positive. Pay will be minimum £10m a year. Story:

Arsenal have reached verbal agreement to extend Bukayo Saka contract — new long term deal always been a priority 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC

It’s not signed yet but it will get done — understand new deal will be until June 2028.

Saka only, always wanted to stay.

First call: @SamiMokbel81_DM.

Never in doubt and cheap at half the price, has become the most important player at the club this season and deserves every penny of it.

The biggest fear I have for Saka is the fact that referees allow opposition players to kick him all
over the park every single game, I really worry about him taking a bad one one of these days.

Has already won player of the season twice ( last 2 seasons ) and is certainly in line to win it this season too, although he has a bit more competition from those who have stepped up (Odegaard / White / Partey and those in their debut season Saliba / Jesus )

If he did win he would be equal to Adams and Brady with 3 and only behind Henry with 4 player of the season awards

Bukayo Saka has always been clear in the last year: no negotiations with other clubs, he only wanted to stay at Arsenal as he loves club, project, coach ⚪️🔴 #AFC

New deal agreed one week ago after 13 months talks — it will be signed once final details and documents are sorted.

I believe all 3 - Martinelli, Saliba and Saka have been sorted for a little while, but they get announced later to take into account tax, or bonus payments or some such thing.

Next up needs to be Odegaard, Smith Rowe and Ramsdale

yep. would be a nice bit of nostalgia for Abou Diaby. Might even have a tear in his eye when he thinks...i remember when they kept offering me contracts when i never played.

Negotiations continue between Arsenal and William Saliba over new contract. It is the next priority for the club after Saka deal almost done — understand Saliba wants to stay. 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC

Talks ongoing on details/salary/structure of the deal, deal not at final stages yet.
Positive news. If we get all 3 of Martinelli, Saka and Saliba signed up long term that is absolutely massive for us as always had a feeling Saliba wouldn't want to stay!

Would be a big mistake to sell Kieran Tierney.
Would leave us without a LB in the squad. Who are we going to put in? Taveres? His defensive positioning is worse than Zinchenko.

Of all players on the bench, Tierney has most reason to feel aggrieved at not playing.
I would hope he will play both legs against Betis.

His attitude and aggression have been much of the catalyst for change in our team. He was showing the rest of them what it should mean to play for our club.

I adored his goal v WBA in the snow a couple of years ago.

I like Zinchenko, and offers passing through the lines that others can’t, but at times he goes wandering all over the place, which is fine if we are 3-0 up with 5 mins to go, but often we are not.

Tierney offers pace and width and is possibly the best crosser of a ball at the club, but we don’t really play that way now.

Needs to play, would be gutted if we sold him.
