Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It’s a sorry state of affairs journalism in this country. Utter laziness in pretty much anything the mainstream report on. Someone has an idea one day or they support United so they just run with a total false narrative.

Let’s get this right. City have a much more straight forward chance of winning the treble. And I mean “the treble”. Not a fucking quadruple that includes the Europe League. Spurs are only 4 points worse off than United in the league. Are they in with a chance of the league?? No they’re fucking not.

Pathetic stuff.
If we win tomorrow, we'll be 14 points ahead of them before they kick off at Anfield on Sunday. Seen that cùnt Nevillle again saying United will finish 2nd behind City because apparently when the league is gone for us, we'll be so disappointed that we'll lose a few at the end. Worth repeating his previous predictions this season:

1. After 10 games - "Spurs are certainties for top 4, still unsure about Arsenal".

2. The world cup break will derail any potential title challenge from Arsenal.

3. City will win the league by 10-15 points.

Glad I don't pay a cent for a sky subscription and have started to watch games on other channels to avoid hearing from this cùnt or the rest of the English TV media.
Someone needs to make comical Neville t shirts with his quotes on the same way there were Wenger ones when he said we could go the season unbeaten…

Scary thing is I ended up on a Chinese stream to catch the last 25 minutes of the Everton game. The commentator on that spent literally half the time talking about Man Utds “epic battle” at home to West Ham off screen, compared to about 10% on the Arsenal game which was actually on the screen. Granted we were cruising at 2/3/4-0, but hilarious that suddenly the League Cup and FA Cup are being treated like big competitions again. The sad but truthful reality is that the FA Cup hasn’t been much more than a nice consolation prize (for the big PL teams with ambition) for nearly twenty years now. It was the Mancs that devalued it in the first place. And the League Cup is significantly below that.

A lot of foreign TV companies buy the Premier League TV broadcast which just have the usual sycophantic nobs like Peter Drury and Jim Proudfoot doing the commentary. Co-commentators tend to be far better though.

Never as bad and as biased as Sky and BT. Awful football coverage. If only it was as good as their cricket coverage.

Agreed, I watched some of the 20/20 series last year (on Drogon) and the coverage was superb, it actually made watching cricket most enjoyable.

The Cartoon Army are absolutely cooked in my opinion - they were shite last weekend when it mattered in the cup final, dropping a lot of points and I expect nothing other than a City stroll in the park today.

Needless to say the ref (Simon hooper) is not only overweight and unable to keep up with the game, but he is utterly inept.
