If you guaranteed me a 1 nil win against Palace in return for a 25 nil defeat here I'd bite your hand off for it such is the amount of shits I now give about this competition.

Saka, who badly needs a rest, better be fucking nowhere near that starting 11 which should be composed mostly of Stiffs R Us players with ESR and Jesus given an hour to prep for Sunday.

Agreed. But I fear this is where Arteta's lack of top level experience and a leetle beet ego might hurt us unfortunately.

Saka in particular needs a rest but I'll bet one of my three testicles he starts.... :|

Hoping Arsenal take this game seriously, put out a strong team, whilst resting a few players, give the substitutes, those recovering from inhuries & squad players more game time & keep the squad happy. :barscarf: After all it's a 16 man game nowadays so use your squad & give them experience. :rubchin:

I think Europa League is worth winning, so a stronger team than last week is needed. I would say winning this is better than Wengers bloody 4th place, both get into CL but this is a proper trophy. :barscarf:

Just take each round as it comes if we get through this tie. :box: We need to do well in this competition, both historically & for next season if we make the CL :box: :barscarf: :barscarf:

First game since the Baku 2019 Chav Nazis disaster for me, £25 tickets so Wiggy not making much profit on that LOL! I'm assuming the £25 tickets are behind the goal? My 28 year auld lad, all 6"4" of him will be wanting to bounce about in the Clock End LOL!! :barscarf:

Come on The Arsenal! :barscarf:

Definitely should rest Saka. The fact you’re allowed 5 subs now does allow for more rotation at least

And hopefully he remains ‘miles away’ from starting for us in the Premier League.

Yeah! I reckon he'll be gone this Summer, maybe one of the big sides like Southampton or Bournemouth in Championship will take him. :D

This competition is great if your struggling to finish in the top 4 but other than that it's just a huge hindrance. Can see us lose the league based on players being overplayed in this. Whatever happens tonight, I don't want Saka near this one.

The ultimate dilemma for Gooners everywhere - for years we all bemoaned the notion that top is better than a trophy, and now we are in a dilemma where we feel forced to prioritise competitions. A lot of Gooners (like myself) believe that we will sadly come up short on winning the league (they have easier run in and deeper squad), so if a Gooner felt that way do you think that he would then support "throwing" this competition ? Obviously I would want us to win the league above anything else, but if winning it is beyond us then I would sure as shit want us to try to win this competition. Trophies being the priority for most clubs, I am finding it hard to dismiss this european competition cos winning it and finishing second in the league would still be a brilliant season imo

It's in the laps of the Gods I guess.

But on a Positive Note  ; how unusual on this forum

Imagine if we actually succeeded in Winning BOTH! - Dreamland I know, but when I think of how Arteta has (so far) proved the majority on here Wrong, who's to know what he may yet achieve as our Manager!?

I have more confidence in us winning the Europa Cup with Arteta at the helm than when it was Emery.

If we get knocked out tonight I reckon we'll accumulate more points between now and the end of the season than we will by going through which is why there will be zero fucks given by me if we get beat.

FWIW I reckon that Saka will start (wrong decision) and we will go through comfortably.
