Did Henry’s marital problems influence his Barca move (16/7)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Did Henry’s marital problems influence his Barca move (16/7)

Post by gooner.ed »

Usual thread starter – people are obviously going to speculate, and I would be very surprised if our former captain isn’t seen with a new squeeze before very long at all, and that it transpires he has been seeing her for several months. I mean, you don’t just give up on a marriage for a quick fling. In a perfect world, the emotional stability of kids wouldn’t be affected by their parents’ situation. Sadly that is obviously not the case.

The youngsters out there will probably see this as just another excuse - but I honestly think this may be the single biggest reason for the move. It all falls into place now. His partner was one of the biggest reasons for him staying in England as long as he did, so no surprise that now that the relationship has ended he wants to put some distance between them.

With all due respect 1886, I think the situation is slightly different; have Barca shown any interest in your stepfather, and, if he's that good maybe we should sign him up?

On the more serious side, TH's marital problems could have tipped the balance and maybe also explain his lacklustre performances and strange behaviours for much of last season - that is, on the rare occasions when he was fit. I recall that T goal celebration (but can't remember the game) so I guess it's not that easy for him (or Nicole/Claire).

Trivial information i know but i think the match was the 2-0 vs Newcastle at Highbury, 1st game of the season before last (the last season at Highbury).

Lets face it he's fucked off and its going to be down hill for him from now on he go on the drink, gambling, clubing, whores. Goals will dry up within six months he will be on his knees barking like a dog begging to come back a sad end.
