We are Arsenal, We are top of the league. We won the league at Anfield, Old Toilet and White Hart Lane (twice) in my lifetime. We beat dirty Leeds to the title. We beat one of the greatest Liverpool teams ever to the title. Twice. We denied the great Manchester United (three times). We won the league without losing, And won it losing just once. We won the league with our captain in jail. We won the league even after we had 2 points taken away.

Why is everyone wetting their pants?
This season is the tortoise and the hare. Read about that story and understand what happens when the hare wakes up.
He lost the race? Im confused now (it happens easily)
Yes, he did. If the hare had won the race, then it wouldn't be much of a cautionary tale.

It's going to be difficult to get a win, but it is possible, a draw would still be a good result and would lift our confidence, whilst shiteh might feel they've missed an opportunity to put it to bed.
If Saliba is back and Zinchenko plays, then I will have hope.
If we do just fall short then I hope it's not down to var.
Lets be honest - a draw would be a f+++ing fantastic result and if that was on offer right now, I'd 100% take it
Damn Straight :high5:

I assumed then that we were the tortoise, ahead at this stage, with the hare (Man City) now awake and catching us up? By that analogy we win the league so I’m happy with that!

The tortoise carried on doing what it was doing. We have stopped. Which is why the hare will catch us.

Uh! Is this a 21st century reimagining? So City are the hare and they win?

Looks like the back injury will keep Saliba out for a good while longer:

How many times have we heard this story. You just substitute a different name.

A neegle is a month, a strain is three. Just wait, in 2 weeks' time you'll hear that he won't be back until next season.

I think they have lost Nathan Ake to injury.....not to worry though, they probably have 3 backup players as good, if not better.
I've been concerned that this will happen.
It's not an extension of a short term issue thoughso not a little neegle dragging on. As bobby said it was a stress fracture which meant he was out for season but the club simply didn't want to break the bad news as the chimpout would have been huge give holding in for the season causing chaos and nerves wherever he is charging around.

The folly of playing him in a game the club didn't really care about.

The folly really is not having suitable backup. The club cannot expect every 1st choice player to last the entire season without missing a few games ( except Xhaka) Lose one or two players and the roof falls in. We have a plethora of midfield players and no CH's??

FG caught me out with the early thread, the tosser  8)

This is the game of the season. Well, it should have been.

We seem to be in the throes of our inevitable collapse; though we have been known to get lucky wins against this pimped oil money team. At this point, I'd take a draw and hope we pick up enough points in the run-in (lol). Or we could just get turdholed again and celebrate the Virtual Trophy of the Be All and End All, like that great day at The Hawthorns ten years ago.

City will likely have to play their game in hand midweek before the last game of the season. Away to Brighton.

7 goals conceded and 6 dropped points in 3 games  We've not even asked City the question really when you think of it  we've basically just handed it to them on a plate.Whats the old saying from the latter years of le bulbeye? When the clocks go forward The Arsenal go backwards  This is exactly what is happening here  I feel like a cock when I think of the emotional states I've gotten into this season  Somehow winning at Leeds 1-0 that day and thinking to my stupid sentimental old self "We coodny could we" and then when on holiday at new year pacing the floor as Everton nicked a point at the Etihad..thinking to myself again "We coodny fuckin pull this off could we" and then thinking Everton 0-1 Brentford 1-1 City 1-3 actually resigning myself to the truth and saying "ah well that's it fucked then"
Then we go 1-0 and 2-1 down at Villa and somehow pull it out of the fire..I'm dreaming again.. Leicester 1-0...dreaming more..Everton 4-0..more.. Bournemth 3-2..I lost my voice from the yelling that day ffs Fulham away Palace and Leeds at home and I'm thinking "we coodny fuckin pull this off, surely not" but then Xhakas brainfart, last weeks pish at West Ham and now this  When we pulled it back to 3-3 I again thought "we coodny pull this out the fire again could we" but no we couldn't  I've resigned myself to the fact it's fucked now, well and truly fucked. And like Rodders says it takes a toll mentally, fuck I'm drained with it all this season.Im numb now though, numb cos it's over and numb cos we've fucked it away ourselves.
I think City will todger us by at least 3 here and it'll be well and truly fucked.
