Can't see any way city will get punished properly. It's far too bad publicity for the Premier League who will be asked to explain why they didn't investigate it for so long and didn't act before. It will all disappear, we're not even hearing anything about it now, a few months later. Manure and the horse punchers will be lobbing money around for the next 15 years plus anyone else who the Arabs fancy buying in order to launder their cash. Chavs will probably be up for sale again before too long, possibly scousers. Nobody will be selling any club to anyone but an Arab sovereign wealth fund for the next twenty years.sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:13 pmSo depressing to watch, no contest at all.
We have to improve the squad considerably next season, I am not interested in the top 4 trophy nonsense like we had under TOF.
Jesus up front means no aerial outlet which they clearly had with the ugly machine.
Our midfield was shocking tonight, Odegaard went missing and Partey has been bad for a few games now.
Similar end to last season in some ways, we can improve obviously next season but Haaland is on a different level.. I expect City will get charged with doping and United will win the title bankrolled by Qatari money... PL is a joke.

Top 4 next season will be a very very good season. I see us going backwards to go forwards. Xhaka and Partey out. Saliba hopefully fit. A Gabriel replacement. Someone other than Jesus up front (who has really started to fucking annoy me).
Re: Citeh A Weds 26th Apr KO 8pm
I'm a big believer that in tough away games against top sides, you need a real 'beefy' central midfield pairing.
City's midfield is probably the best in Europe and we had an off form Partey trying to stop them almost single handed. Does Arteta really think that Odegaard, Zinchenko and Saka/Martinelli are going to stop that midfield? FFS it's pretty basic stuff to see
You can't have a LB who is never in position and who cannot tackle anyway! You can't play a piece of Swiss Cheese ANYWHERE!
Arteta is as much of a problem as he is the driver of our rise (and fall) this season.

Pretty much the only bloke to support us in the stadium through thick and think over the last decade. Yeah. Re: Citeh A Weds 26th Apr KO 8pm
So what was missing tonight? 3 positions minimum.
A strong, tall, 25 goal minimum striker (not many in this country, Toney maybe?),
a proper leader in midfield (is Rice the answer? Not sure), and another strong centre back.
Otherwise it’s also about tactics and mentality which we are lacking in so many big games.
Yes, we’re all gutted, but things are better than we expected at the start of the season and it needs to be seen as a stepping stone, not a setback. Keep the heads up boys and let’s see where we go from here.

I remember people praying for years that Chelsea would get punished for years of blatantly ignoring the FFP "rules". They didn't and City won't. They've never been legally enforceable and never will be.
The gutless c.unts who run our game would rather deduct Rochdale a couple of points for fielding an illegible player, or relegate the likes of Rotherham, Luton and Derby by deducting them 20 odd points for being in financial distress
They will never ever do anything to City. Give up any hope of that happening

Partey and Jorginho plus Trossard somewhere in the mix. We needed experience and discipline to retain some sort of modicum of control in midfield. Nah. Arteta thought he would trot out the same side that has blown up over the last 3 games. Madness.TeeCee wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:24 pmI'm a big believer that in tough away games against top sides, you need a real 'beefy' central midfield pairing.

5 additions right up the spine is what’s needed in the summer - 2 centre backs, 2 central midfielders and and a striker with a physical presence in an opposition box.

I agree but if they don’t do something City will win the League for 10 years in a row minimum.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:24 pmI remember people praying for years that Chelsea would get punished for years of blatantly ignoring the FFP "rules". Re: Citeh A Weds 26th Apr KO 8pm
PLs out of 6 incoming for Man City. They’ve already matched the insane dominance of early 80s Liverpool or late 90s dominance. And they have the world’s most fearsome striker who will probably be leading their line for another decade. League is fucked.
Funny also when you hear the way they speak recently, I hear almost a little emabarassment about their dominance rather than mere modesty. Take these post match comments:
De Bruyne: “I know we have games in hand but we are still behind them … we will not give in until it cannot mathematically be done … our schedule is hectic and there is a lot of things going on.”
Guardiola: “The next three games are really important … Fulham on Sunday, what Marco Silva has done is unbelievable … after two games at home against West Ham and Leeds, these three games will dictate … the reality is we are behind Arsenal, they are two points in front of us … game by game, we will see what happens.”
Protesting a bit too much? They’ve killed the competition and deep down they know it, so they go overboard trying to build up other teams/the rest of the league. All a bit odd, uncomfortable really.

*5 out of 6
Re: Citeh A Weds 26th Apr KO 8pm
If that happens, then I'm presuming we are saying that the current players all need to be kept on in those positions as cover, otherwise we will be back to the same old shit. Jorginho and Partey can pick up the pieces in domestic cups and when the pressure is off, if Caceido and Rice joined. Likewise Saliba and Gabriel, and Jesus.rodders999 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:26 pm5 additions right up the spine is what’s needed in the summer - 2 centre backs, 2 central midfielders and and a striker with a physical presence in an opposition box.
If they don't then as soon as any of the new signings get injured you're back to the likes of Holding, Elneny etc and the cycle continues
Exactly what made me think getting knocked out of the EL was a bad thing. Take the chances when they come. Win something. This squad will be entering a competition they have zero chance in
Re: Citeh A Weds 26th Apr KO 8pm
That still won't stop the FA doing something....and in any event they won't because by financial rights they should have won every league since 2012. United, Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool have all found a way to ensure that didn't happenBobbyPires7 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:27 pmI agree but if they don’t do something City will win the League for 10 years in a row minimum.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:24 pmI remember people praying for years that Chelsea would get punished for years of blatantly ignoring the FFP "rules".
