So, Wenger had the inside track and an introduction to Kante before he even went to Leicester, but oh no........Waited 5 years, then opted for Xhaka. Have you noticed, if a player is a success, Wenger knew about him. The man has zero self awareness, why doesn't he go on to give us an in depth explanation as to why he opted to buy utter crap instead???
So now that Kante is at the fag end of his career, we are suddenly interested. Probably because he's free.

Pity Wenger didn't get hold of him early, he could have turned him into a 5'4 centre half.
It's a bit weird. He says these things like he thinks it makes him look like some kind of genius. But all it really does is make anyone with a brain think "well why did you not snap up all these amazing players instead of the piles of utter shit you did sign?".

The man is completely self deluded. A pity really, because that first ten years he won us two Doubles and an Invincibles season while playing the best football the English top flight has ever seen. And now his reputation with a lot (most?) Gooners is completely tarnished. :(

Thank fuck the old fucker is gone. Honestly, I can laugh these days about the Nearly Signed XI and the internal transfer market, but for about 10 years the c.unt drove me to despair.

Whether it was Yaya Toure, Zlatan, Hazard, Drogba, Kante Ronaldo - this fuckbag was always there with his nearly signed nonsense. Some of them weren't even expensive at the time we had the chance to sign them. Instead we got Park, Gervinho, Chamakh, Denilson, Santos, Silvestre and whole other lorry load of.c.unts

I never thought I'd see the day that the old fuckbag would sling his hook but as I said at the time, if I have to praise Josh Kroenke for one thing, it.would be to finally rid us of the old tool. Set us back 10 years. Never ever want to see him anywhere near the club again

Heard a rumour we might be interested in James Maddison (Leicester) Must admit whenever I've seen him play he has been good to excellent on all occasions.

Just depends on the price I guess?

West Ham want £120m for Rice, I can't see us paying that and although at 24 he's still fairly young, if we can get Caicedo for less than £100m at 21 he would make more sense?.

Maybe the chavs will pay it though, he came through their (pimped) academy so might have a connection to them, hopefully they put him on 400k a week on an 8yr contract and he loses motivation. 😆

Already the rumoured price has gone from £ 80 million to £ 100 million and now it's reached £ 120 million . Sounds like the TV car advert ( motorway ) where dealers outbid themselves to buy your car.
Utter crap , only two parties know the price .

Them and us.

As we’ve said on here before the transfer market is completely fucked now and can’t ever be fixed. You can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube as it were.

Everyone is now valued along the lines of…well if Antony is worth 90 million then so and so is worth 120. Same with Mudryk, those two transfers have destroyed the market - 2 players that clubs massively overpaid for and everyone else has to suffer.

That’s why Brighton turned down 70/80 million from us in January for Caicedo…..if shit like Antony is 90 million then Caicedo is 110.

And on and on it goes…..

West Ham will be spouting silly money as they don't want him to go and obviously want top dollar when he does. If Rice pushes hard for a transfer to a particular club who are offering 80m with 10m add ons, then it could happen.

Apparently it is the impending Bellingham transfer that is gonna drive rice's price up - if he is going for over £120m, then the shammers believe his international team-mate can command a similar price

While I still argue that he isnt what anywhere near 100m, I also think that McAllister from Brighton would be a better fit and would be massive upgrade on swiss turd (who wouldnt  ) - the argie in tenacious in the tackle, has a strong work ethic, and is a bigger attacking threat

He's a very good player Augie, rumoured to be going to the victims but who knows....10 Brighton players phoned it in last night believing all the smoke that was being blown up their holes over the last few days and thinking all they had to do was turn up and swat away Everton - the one player who didn't was McAllister - he was excellent all night and unlucky not to have bagged a few goals.

Between McAllister and Caicedo Brighton are going to have plenty of suitors this summer, that's their problem really - every window they get their top players picked off. At the moment they seem to be able to work some magic each time and unearth top class replacements but as soon as that starts to falter they'll be in trouble. Ferguson will be next to get picked off, came on last night and looked so dangerous.

Any asset is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Rice is not signing a new contract. So he will be sold this summer. If we are the only willing bidder then I don’t see why the price will be over £100m.

City - don’t need him.
United - Casemiro plays there. And until they are sold they are not buying any major player.
Newcastle - don’t see it.
Liverpool - won’t pay that money and may not be Champions League.
Spurs - don’t make me laugh.

I reckon he is coming our way for £80m plus £20m of add ons that will never come to pass.

We wont be the only bidder, not by a long shot - the victims have to rebuild their entire midfield this summer, manure's midfield certainly needs additions, but there is no doubt that the chavs will be the main bidders for him this summer
