Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Spuds...... No shots in the first half and a PL record set with an Xg of 0.0
That's an expected goal of zero, they couldn't even get 0.1 FFS.

They've gone Uber Spursy, outspursing the spursy c.unts that they are. A total joy!! :barscarf:
Do they have expected trophies? If so, they must have a minus score.

In the land of make believe what do we actually need? Them to lose one and draw one?

2 draws is no use because their goal difference is too big yeah. Right.

More chance of me getting a reach around from our Nat than that happening but if a man can’t dream then what has he got? Fuck all that’s what.

SteveO is adamant that Dychie’s got our back tomorrow and then we roll the dice on Brighton or Brentford delivering the knockout blow.

Equal part orgasmic, equal part terrifying.

Do I dare to dream?

At this stage if the season to be in with even the slightest glimmer of chance is a huge achievement from where we were 2 / 3 seasons ago.

Yes we have thrown away points in matches we shouldn’t - namely Southampton home and away and West Ham and the Brentford VAR robbery.

Yet we have gained last gasp victories v Utd, away at Villa and the dramatic winner v Bournemouth.

If we had managed to hold City to a draw in either of our matches that on its own is a 3 point swing, and them taking all 6 points is a huge reason why they will in all probability go on to win it.

We may win more matches this season than the Invincible team (2 more needed)
We may end the season with more goals scored than our best ever ( 5 more needed)

We are just unfortunate that we are up against City a well oiled machine, who have been there, done it, won it, bought it, yet we are still pushing them to their very limit at this stage of the season.

I sometimes wonder about such things... Southampton who were on the threshold of fighting relegation turn up and play their best football all season (admittedly the early gaff goal probably help their confidence levels etc), I mean even walcott scored and he has been his usual in-effective shyte self all season...

Even their manager said in th post-game presser: "We played our best football today"

:?

I would have preferred another of the relegation threatened teams (Leeds/Forest/Everton/westhamm) to go down than southampton, though of course I will be getting behind Dyche's knuckle draggers this afternoon 1,000%.

A draw today would have the effect of creating uncertainty in their minds, just at the time they have a massive game against Madrid up coming

Expecting a 1-1 draw today at Goodison

Then we will take it from there
