ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

2 steps forward (hopefully) finally getting rid of Xhaka

Then 2 steps back if we're in for, and do actually get Havertz

Absolutely baffling

Paying anything over £30m for Havertz is ridiculous. And I’m being generous.

You forgot to put in the decimal point after the 3

That's £25m too much, the guy is garbage. His stats are very poor what on earth does Arteta see in him that everyone else doesn't?

Thank fuck for that.

Let’s be honest, who is he starting over? I’d take all of our starting attackers over him, so unless he is there to add squad depth (which I wouldn’t mind) then we shouldn’t be paying out the arse for him.

I said on here the other day that, in my opinion the basque fool is happy with 9 of his starting 11 and will only be buying to boost up the squad depth instead of actually improving the starting 11 - signing havertz would confirm that. We will never win a league or champs league with jesus or havertz as our striking options - I'd rather stick with nketieh than piss away money on this useless c.unt

🚨 Chelsea want a minimum of £70m for Kai Havertz. Arsenal are hopeful they can strike a deal closer to £60m - inclusive of add-ons & are willing to pay Havertz in-excess of £200k-per-week. The player is keen to move across London if both clubs can reach an agreement over a fee. [@SamiMokbel81_DM] #afc

He's scored 19 goals for Chelsea in 4 seasons. We have midfielders with better records than that so wtf are Arsenal thinking?

#ManCity have looked at the possibility of signing Chelsea's Kai Havertz.

[@JacobSteinberg/@guardian_sport]

Kai Havertz told Chelsea he wanted to leave this summer. Both City and Bayern are credited with interest [Via - @JacobSteinberg].

Just for balance

Havertz has a good attitude. Seems like a winner to me. I reckon he’s cover for Saka.

How have you worked that out Columbo??

He’s shit but his attitude is right. So he may well work as cover. I don’t want him but I see why Arteta might.

Chelsea need to sell players desperately so fvck paying over the odds for him, leave this till August and if anyone else wants him, whatever, low ball the cvnts and if they can't sell they'll be stuck with an unhappy player lol.

Just get Rice and Caicedo done first..
