ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Chelsea have turned down an opening bid from Arsenal for Kai Havertz but talks continue and player keen for move #cfc #afc

You're a wicked bastard Mc.

Stop Mc, please, just stop!

He'd said that earlier - b&stard is just twisting the knife now :wink:

Yeah I know Augie. What part of Ireland is he from? We need to move it up into Ulster, that'll give him something to laugh about.

I can't Retro, this is my Christmas time :barscarf:

I never had you down as the spiteful type Mc.

That psychopathic sense of humour will come back to haunt you once we sign him and he's stinking the place out next season. Just think, we're all cheering that Xhaka is going (fingers crossed...I won't believe it until I see it) and we're looking to bring in more deadbeats to take us back to square one. You couldn't make it up.

I'm horribly afraid that I do too. They'll anounce that he's decided to sign a new contract and they'll hail it as like a "new signing". It will be as though Arsene never left. I actually don't think the old fucker has.

Kai Havertz deal situation ⚪️🔴 #AFC

◉ Arsenal opening bid rejected but it’s not over at all;

◉ Talks Arsenal-Chelsea will continue, same as for Rice deal;

◉ FC Bayern, informed/interested but no bid yet as Arsenal leading;

◉ Chelsea always expected 2/3 clubs in the race.

Our transfer policy is akin to a trip to Costco. You need a bulk pack of toilet roll (defensive midfielder) but you end up buying a hot tub which you definitely don’t need (Havertz).

What item describes, Pepe? I'd have him down as one of those expensive gas barbecue/ smoker things which you never ever needed, can't really find a place to put it, used it about three times in five years and now can't get rid of it.

I have been reading that Havertz is coming in to replace Clive. Why ffs we have a proven talent in Smith Rowe ready for that and if he gets injured Trossard can play there. Playing for the Chavs Havertz misses more chances than Jesus, and has the same tackle as a Eunuch. What is not to like? The only thing more baffling this week than Arteta going in for Havertz was Stokes declaring yesterday.

:lol: Either that or one of those bouncy castles. Great for the kids if you have a hot summer but pointless for most of the year and now the rubber has perished and it won’t fully inflate any more. Have left it outside the front house for the rag and bone man to take but even he won’t touch it.

I wasn’t, till I looked it up - I didn’t even know who sung the version I remember ( Bobby Darin) found also a Louis Armstrong idea too on YouTube
